#1. Dominic Jackson (6'8''-F-1997, played in 2018-20, plays pro in Australia) led Eastern Mavericks to a victory over the third-ranked South Adelaide Panthers (4-2) 77-69 in the Australian NBL One (second division) on Friday night. He was MVP of the game. Jackson recorded a double-double by scoring 24 points and getting 11 rebounds. He also added 3 assists in 36 minutes. Eastern Mavericks (2-4) are placed eighth in Central group. It was his team's first victory after four consecutive loses. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. Jackson has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages 16.5ppg and 7.8rpg.
#2. Tyrese Davis (6'9''-F-2000, played in 2020-23, plays in Romania) could not help Laguna Sharks Bucuresti (21-2) in their last game. Despite his good performance the first-placed Laguna Sharks Bucuresti (21-2) lost 64-77 on the road to the second-ranked Targu Jiu in the Group 1. Davis had a double-double by scoring 10 points and getting 13 rebounds. There are only three games left until the end of the Second Stage. So now every game will be critical. It's Davis' first season with the team. He has very impressive stats this year 15.5ppg, 9.4rpg and 1.9apg in 22 games he played so far.
#3. Jorge Mejias (6'3''-G-2001, played in 2019-20, currently in Germany) was not able to help Iserlohn Kangaroos in their game against Speyer (17-9) in the German ProB (third division). Despite his very good performance on Friday night He was the top scorer with 22 points. Mejias also added 4 rebounds and dished 9 assists (was perfect 5-for-5 from the free throw line) in 35 minutes. Mejias has relatively good stats this season 14.9ppg, 3.7rpg, 6.9apg and 2.2spg.
#4. Experienced Felipe Vezaro (6'4''-G-1992, played in 2012-13, plays pro in Brazil) was not able to secure a victory for U.Corinthians (18-16) in their game against Corinthians (8-2) in the Brazilian NBB. His contribution was not very remarkable in Friday's game. Vezaro recorded only 2 points. U.Corinthians lost 93-97 in Sao Paulo to the higher-ranked (#3) Corinthians. It's Vezaro's first season with the team. This year he averages 3.9ppg and 1.7rpg in 31 games.
