USA captured the trophy in Mexico. They outgunned Canada in the championship game. Jerzy Robinson (185-G-2008) tallied 24 points and 14 rebounds for the champions. USA posted a 41-20 halftime advantage. Canada narrowed the deficit in the third period but USA sank 24 points in the final stanza and raced to the victory. McKenna Woliczko (188-F-2008) chipped in 14 points and collected 9 rebounds for the USA. Savannah Swords (182-F-2008) answered with 22 points for Canada.
3-4 Place
Argentina - Puerto Rico 67-58
Argentina stepped onto the pedestal in Merida. They beat Puerto Rico to clinch the third position. Milagros Morell (191-F-2007) posted 22 points and 15 rebounds for the winners. The teams went neck and neck throughout first three quarters. Puerto Rico led by one point at the final intermission. But Argentina used a 20-10 run in the fourth quarter to secure the win. Isabella Ingenito (175-SG-2007) had 16 points in the victory. Adriana Robles (171-G-2007) answered with 16 points for Puerto Rico.

5-6 Place
Colombia - Brazil 53-41
Colombia beat Brazil to earn the fifth position in the championship. Brazil recorded a 16-6 lead after ten minutes. But Colombia answered with a 37-19 rally in the second half to snatch the win. Marta Moscarella (180-F-2007) posted 23 points and 15 rebounds, while Maria Acosta added 10 points in the victory. Sara Martins (177-SF-2008) answered with 16 points for Colombia.

7-8 Place
Dominican Republic - Mexico 61-90
Mexico outscored Dominican Republic to earn the 7th place in Merida. Sandra Acuna nailed 29 points and collected 8 assists in the win. The teams were tied at 34 at halftime. Mexico unloaded 56 points in the second half and got away with a comfortable win at the end. Ariadna Vidales (177-F-2007) had 15 points for the hosts. Arianna Mercado (165-G-2007) replied with 13 points for Dominican Republic.
