#1. South Sudanese player Kur Jongkuch, standing at 6'9'' and 26 years old, graduated from Temple University in 2023. However, he previously played for North Colorado between 2018 and 2022, where he notably contributed to their success in winning the CBI Championship Semifinals in a particular year. Currently, Jongkuch is showcasing his talent as a professional player in Germany, playing for Telekom Baskets Bonn. In a recent game, Jongkuch led Telekom Baskets Bonn to a resounding victory against the 15th-ranked Skyliners with a score of 104-72 in the German easyCredit BBL. He displayed his skills on the court by scoring 11 points and securing 5 rebounds in just 22 minutes of play. This victory helped his team, currently placed fourth in the league with a record of 20-12, to maintain a strong position as they approach the end of the regular season. With only two games remaining in the regular season, each match becomes crucial for teams aiming to secure their spots in the playoffs. Jongkuch's consistent performance, averaging 5.7 points per game and 4.5 rebounds per game in the 32 games he has played this season, demonstrates his value as a key player for Telekom Baskets Bonn. His dual citizenship of South Sudanese and Canadian adds to his diverse background as a basketball champion.
#2. Jonah Radebaugh, a 6'3'' shooting guard and 28-year-old Bears alumni from the class of 2020, is currently playing professionally in Spain. Despite his impressive accolades, such as being named the All-Big Sky Conference Defensive Player of the Year in 2020, Radebaugh faced a challenging match against Real Madrid while representing Universidad Catolica de Murcia CB (21-8) in the Spanish Liga Endesa. In the recent game against Real Madrid (26-3), Radebaugh was unable to lead his team to victory, with Universidad Catolica de Murcia CB ultimately falling short with a score of 123-131 on the road. This defeat marked their first loss after a streak of seven consecutive wins. Radebaugh's individual performance in the game was limited, as he scored only 2 points and grabbed 2 rebounds in 15 minutes of play. Despite his efforts, the champion Real Madrid emerged victorious. Throughout this season, Radebaugh has maintained solid averages of 7.7 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 1.7 assists per game across 26 appearances. Player of the Year award in 2019, showcased his talent by contributing significantly to the Indios' narrow 77-76 victory over the league-leading Metros. Currently averaging 8.4 points, 3.1 rebounds, 4.8 assists, and 1.1 steals per game this season, Davis has proven to be a valuable asset for the Indios de San Francisco. His impressive stats reflect his skill and dedication to the game. Despite being a naturalized American, Davis continues to excel in the professional basketball scene, showcasing his talent and determination to succeed as a finalist.
#5. In the recent Danish BasketLigaen game, the talented player Matt Johnson II, a 6'2'' guard who graduated from N. Colorado in 2023 and currently plays professionally in Denmark, faced off against the previously mentioned Kai Edwards. Despite Johnson II's efforts, he was unable to lead his team, Horsens IC, to victory. The fourth-placed Horsens IC suffered a heavy defeat with a score of 110-67 against the top-ranked Bakken Bears in the Places 1-6 group. During the game, Johnson II showcased his skills by scoring 10 points, grabbing 4 rebounds, and providing 5 assists in 32 minutes of play. His performance was commendable, especially considering the tough competition they faced against the Bakken Bears. Despite his strong contributions, Horsens IC was unable to overcome their formidable opponents. Throughout the season, Johnson II has maintained solid statistics, averaging 13.0 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 3.6 assists per game in the 30 games he has participated in so far. His consistent performance and valuable contributions on the court demonstrate his capabilities as a skilled player in the league.
