#1. Jaleen Smith (6'3''-PG-1994, played in 2013-17, plays pro in Turkey) led his Turkish team Turk Telekom Ankara to a victory over the tenth-ranked Panionios (1-6) crushing them 95-67 in the Eurocup last Tuesday. He was MVP of the game. Smith scored 20 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 21 minutes. Turk Telekom Ankara (5-2) is placed second in the Eurocup. It was his team's fifth consecutive victory in a row. It's Smith's first season with the team. He has relatively good stats this year 13.9ppg, 2.3rpg, 3.9apg and 1.4spg in seven games he played so far. Smith is a naturalized Croatian.
#2. Clarence Daniels (6'6''-F-2000, played in 2022-24, plays in Croatia) was the major contributor in a KK Cedevita Junior Zagreb's victory against the closely-ranked Keravnos (1-4) 85-68 in the FIBA Europe Cup on Wednesday night. Daniels scored 14 points and grabbed 6 rebounds; quite an impressive performance considering it's only his second season in pro basketball. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. KK Cedevita Junior Zagreb (5-0) is placed first in the FIBA Europe Cup. So far his team won all five games in the Regular Season. They will play only one more game in the FIBA Europe Cup Regular Season. And that game will be critical. Daniels has relatively good stats this season 14.8ppg, 6.0rpg, 1.2apg and 1.6spg.
#3. Tanner Leissner (6'7''-PF-1995, played in 2014-18, plays pro in Japan). Leissner could not help Akita Northern Happinets (2-13) to beat Dolphins (13-2) in the Japanese B1 League. He recorded 8 points and added 3 assists. The 11th-placed Akita Northern Happinets (2-13) were crushed88-58 on the road by the second-ranked Dolphins in the East group. It was Akita Northern Happinets' fourth consecutive loss in a row. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. This year Leissner averages 8.9ppg, 3.6rpg and 1.1apg.
#4. Kyree Brown (6'0''-PG, played in 2022-23, plays in Israel) was not able to help one of league's weakest teams E.Yavne (3-3) in their last game. Despite his good performance E.Yavne lost 84-98 on the opponent's court to the higher-ranked (#9) I.Nahariya. Brown scored 10 points and added 4 passes in 31 minutes. But the season just started, so everything may happen. It's Brown's first year with the team. This season he averages 8.5ppg, 3.0rpg, 4.3apg and 2.0spg in four games. Brown is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market.
#5. Jaxson Baker (6'8''-F-1999, played in 2022-24, currently in Portugal) was not able to secure a victory for one of league's weakest teams Vitoria SC in their game against FC Porto (3-2) in the Portuguese Liga Betclic. He scored 7 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. his team was badly defeated105-85 in Porto by the lower-ranked FC Porto (#6). This season Baker averages 5.0ppg and 2.4rpg.
