#1. Kyle Foster, a 6'6'' guard/forward who graduated from Howard in 2022 and received the All-MEAC First Team award that year, currently plays professionally in Venezuela. In a recent game, he led the Spartans de Distrito Capital Caracas to a thrilling 81-75 victory over the closely-ranked Marinos. Foster's outstanding performance earned him the MVP title of the game, as he scored 20 points in 36 minutes of play. The win was significant for the Spartans, as it marked their first victory after enduring three consecutive losses. Foster's impressive stats for the season include an average of 12.0 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 1.7 assists per game in the six games he has played so far. His leadership on the court was pivotal in securing the victory over Marinos, solidifying his position as a champion in the Venezuelan Superliga Profesional de Baloncesto league.
#2. Cameron Lewis, a towering 6'8'' forward and 28-year-old Bison alumnus from 2019, currently showcases his skills as a professional player in the TBL. Recently, Lewis, a key player for the DMV Soldiers, faced off against the formidable DC Heat in a crucial matchup. Despite his best efforts, Lewis could not propel the DMV Soldiers to victory over the DC Heat, who emerged triumphant with a score of 109-104. During the game, Lewis contributed significantly by scoring 8 points and securing 1 rebound in just 15 minutes of play. Although his performance was commendable, it was not enough to secure a win for his team. This defeat marked the first loss for the DMV Soldiers after a successful streak of four consecutive victories, emphasizing the importance of every remaining game as the regular season nears its end. Lewis's overall performance in the current season has been noteworthy, averaging 7.1 points per game and 4.0 rebounds per game across 14 appearances. As the season progresses and with only four games left, Lewis and the DMV Soldiers will need to regroup and strive for success in the upcoming matches to solidify their position as championship contenders.
