Notice impressive performance of Jimmy Boeheim (25 points), Isaiah Gray (9 points), and Guy Ragland Jr. (13 points).
#1. Jimmy Boeheim, a 6'8'' forward who is 28 years old and graduated from Syracuse in 2022, previously played for Cornell from 2017 to 2021 before joining a professional team in Portugal. In a recent match in the Portuguese Liga Betclic Masculina, Boeheim led Oliveirense to a decisive 90-72 victory over the closely-ranked Ovarense with an outstanding performance. He scored 25 points, secured 8 rebounds, and contributed 2 assists in just 25 minutes of play, earning him the MVP title for the game. Despite it being his first season with U.D. Oliveirense, Boeheim has been a key player for the team, showcasing his skills and leading them to success on the court. Currently, Oliveirense holds the fifth position in the league standings, with a record of 12-10. Boeheim's impressive individual statistics demonstrate his valuable contributions to the team's performance, as he averages 17.3 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 2.0 assists per game over the 24 games he has played so far. Boeheim's exceptional performance in the recent match highlights his talent and determination as a champion player, helping his team secure victory and further solidifying his reputation as a finalist in the league.
#2. Isaiah Gray, a 6'3'' guard and 24-year-old Zips alumnus from the class of 2025, previously played for Cornell University between 2020 and 2024 before beginning his professional career in the Czech Republic. Despite his best efforts, Gray was unable to lead Opava (18-18) to victory against Nymburk (32-4) in the Czech Republic Maxa NBL. In the match, he showcased his skills by contributing 9 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists, and 3 steals in just 23 minutes of play. However, Opava (18-18), currently in fifth place, suffered a heavy 116-79 defeat on the road at the hands of the table-topping Nymburk in the Places 1-8 group. Gray's individual performance against Nymburk was notable, with his 9 points, 5 rebounds, and 7 assists standing out. Despite his impressive stats, his team fell short in securing the win. Throughout the season, Gray has maintained solid statistics, averaging 12.4 points, 4.7 rebounds, 4.0 assists, and 1.6 steals per game across 21 appearances.
#3. U.S. Virgin Islands native Guy Ragland Jr., a 6'8'' forward aged 23 who graduated from Cornell in 2025 and helped lead them to the final of the Ivy League Tournament that year, is currently playing professionally in Slovakia. In a recent game, Ragland Jr. unfortunately could not guide his team, Blue Wings (25-11), to victory. Despite his strong showing, Blue Wings suffered a 65-79 defeat in Bratislava against the lower-ranked (#3) Slovan. Ragland Jr. emerged as the second highest scorer of the game with 13 points while also contributing 6 rebounds and 2 blocks during his 31 minutes on the court. This loss marked Blue Wings' first defeat following a series of four consecutive wins, with Ragland Jr. in his debut season with the team. Despite his commendable performance against Slovan, which included 13 points, 6 rebounds, and 1 assist, Ragland Jr.'s efforts were not enough to secure victory for Blue Wings. Throughout this season, he has maintained an average of 9.7 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game across 45 appearances.
#4. Nazir Williams, a 23-year-old guard standing at 6'3" and an alum of Big Red from 2025, currently plays professionally in Spain. Despite his efforts, Williams, a Second Team All-Ivy League recipient in 2025, was unable to lead Iraurgi SB (17-9) to victory over Albacete (19-7) in the Spanish Segunda FEB, the third division of Spanish basketball. In the matchup, Williams only managed to score 4 points in 17 minutes of play. During the game, Iraurgi SB, holding the third position with a record of 17-9, suffered a significant 80-60 home loss to Albacete, the second-ranked team in the West group. Despite facing a tough opponent, Williams displayed a commendable performance against Albacete, contributing 4 points and 1 assist. However, his individual efforts were not enough to secure a win for his team. Throughout the season, Williams has maintained solid statistics, averaging 12.0 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game across 21 appearances.
