GIE Maile Matrix 81- GUG 76

The GIE Maile Matrix were named kings of Santiago for a day winning he 2nd Annual Mitchell Americas Cup. The Matrix jumped on top of GUG 29-9 in the first quarter. Throughout the first half they dominated leading by as much as 20 points. Ethan Bradshaw (185-G-87, college: Lake Erie) was key in the first half breaking down the defense for 5 assists and 16 points. After a great half the Matrix hit a slump shooting under 20 percent from the field. GUG battled by to take the led early in the 4th but Bradshaw was just too much for GUG down the stretch. The Matrix finish the game winning 81-76 and named champions.

Bradshaw was named finals MVP for his great performance. He finished the game with 24 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists in the win. John Humphrey (188-G/F-80, college: Middle Tenn.St.) added a game high 35 points and 5 rebounds. Freddie Riley (198-G-89, college: Massachusetts) also chipped in 18 points. GUG put up a great fight but it just wasn't enough. They were led by Alejanduo Lirano with 18 points and 10 rebounds in a losing effort.
