#1. Langston Wilson, a 6'9'' power forward who graduated from Milwaukee in 2024, showcased his skills in a recent game in Lithuania. As a finalist in the Horizon League Tournament during his college years, Wilson has continued to excel in his professional career. Playing for Gargzdu SC Gargzdai, he led his team to a narrow 105-102 victory against Rytas, one of the weaker teams in the Lithuanian Betsafe Lietuvos krepsinio lyga. Despite being in only his third season of professional basketball, Wilson made a significant impact by scoring 16 points and securing 5 rebounds in just 26 minutes of play. His impressive performance highlighted his talent and contribution to the team, leading them to their third consecutive win of the season. Currently, Gargzdu SC Gargzdai holds the second position in the league standings. Even though it's early in the season and anything can happen, Wilson's presence on the court has been instrumental in his team's success. This being his first year with the team, his quick adaptation and remarkable stats, averaging 10.0 points per game and 7.0 rebounds per game (the second-best in the league), have made him a standout player. Wilson's journey from being a finalist in the Horizon League Tournament to becoming a champion in professional basketball demonstrates his continuous growth and potential in the sport. Moreover, as a former participant in the prestigious Eurobasket Summer League, known for nurturing talents seeking opportunities to play basketball internationally, Wilson's experience and skills continue to develop, making him a promising player to watch in the future.
#2. Kentrell Pullian, a 24-year-old 6'0'' point guard and Panthers alumnus from 2025, is currently playing professionally in Kosovo. In a recent game, he showcased his skills by leading Vellaznimi to a 99-90 victory over the third-ranked Peja in the Kosovan ProCredit Superliga. Pullian's stellar performance included scoring 21 points, grabbing 7 rebounds, and dishing out 11 assists, earning him a double-double in just his second season in professional basketball. Despite Vellaznimi Gjakove being ranked second from the bottom in the league, Pullian's impact on the court has been significant since joining the team this year. Pullian's remarkable display against Peja not only secured the win for his team but also highlighted his prowess as a champion player. With impressive season averages of 20.0 points per game, 5.0 rebounds per game, 7.0 assists per game (leading the league in this category), and 2.0 steals per game, Pullian has consistently excelled individually throughout the season.
#3. Ahmad Rand, a 28-year-old forward standing at 6'8'' who graduated from Milwaukee in 2023 and received the All-Horizon League Defensive Player of the Year award that same year, currently competes professionally in Luxembourg. In a recent game last Saturday, Rand, making his debut for Residence, showcased his talent despite the team's 96-83 loss on the road against the higher-ranked T71 (#8). Even though Residence fell short in the matchup, Rand's impact was evident as he contributed 17 points and 3 rebounds in just 16 minutes of play. His defensive prowess was also on display with 2 blocked shots during the game. This game marked Rand's first appearance for Residence this season, as he aims to make a significant contribution in his first year with the team. Despite the impressive performance by Rand, the team could not secure the victory against T71, highlighting the competitive nature of the league. Rand's skills and determination on the court are sure to make him a key player for Residence as they strive for success in future games.
#4. Experienced champion Matthew Tiby, a 6'8'' power forward at 33 years old and an alum of the Panthers from 2016, currently plays professionally in Italy. In a recent game, he was a key player in Livorno's dominant 88-49 victory over the ninth-ranked Mestre in the Italian Serie A2 league. Tiby showcased his skills by scoring 11 points, grabbing 4 rebounds, and providing 1 assist in just 17 minutes of play, marking a strong start to his season with Livorno. As a vital part of the team, he helped propel Livorno to fifth place in the league standings. His outstanding performance on the court exemplifies why he is a true champion.
