Every week we bring you a list of the top former Toreros players who continue their career in pro basketball.

#1. Argentinian Juan Gorosito, a 6'1'' guard who is 23 years old and graduated from San Diego in 2026, made his debut for San Martin in their recent match against Instituto in the Argentinian La Liga. Despite his commendable effort, Gorosito, playing professionally in Argentina, could not lead San Martin to victory as they were defeated 73-81 at home by the higher-ranked Instituto, who currently hold the #6 position in the league standings. In his first game of the season, Gorosito showcased his skills by contributing 9 points and 2 assists in just 19 minutes of play. Although he put on an impressive performance, his team, the bottom-ranked San Martin, could not secure the win against the formidable opponent.

#2. Wayne McKinney III, a 6'0'' point guard and Aztecs alum from 2025, showcased his talents while playing in San Diego between 2021 and 2024 before embarking on his professional basketball career in Latvia. In his most recent game, despite his commendable performance, McKinney III was unable to lead LU to victory. The team suffered a significant 108-92 defeat on their home court in Riga against the much higher-ranked Ventspils, who held the #7 spot. McKinney III put up an impressive display, scoring 18 points, grabbing 5 rebounds, and dishing out 2 assists in a 30-minute playing time. This noteworthy performance is particularly remarkable considering it is only McKinney III's second season in professional basketball and his first year with the team. Throughout this season, McKinney III has maintained solid statistics, averaging 14.0 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per game over the two games he has played thus far. Despite his consistent contributions and standout performance against Ventspils, McKinney III and his team were unable to secure the much-needed victory in the game.

#3. Dutch player Jito Kok, standing at 6'9'' and a center at 32 years old, graduated from San Diego in 2016 and currently plays professionally in France. In a recent match, Kok, a key player for Champagne, tried to lead his team to victory against Denain Voltaire in the French ELITE 2 league. Despite his impressive performance of scoring 8 points in just 20 minutes, Champagne was unable to overcome the strong Denain Voltaire team, ultimately losing 80-55 on their home court in Reims. However, it is important to note that this defeat occurred early in the season, leaving room for improvement and future opportunities for Champagne to bounce back. This marks Kok's first season with the team, and despite the challenging start, his contributions on the court have been notable. In the match against Denain Voltaire, Kok not only scored 8 points but also secured 2 rebounds and provided 1 assist, showcasing his versatility and value to the team. As the season progresses, Kok's current average of 7.5 points per game and 1.5 rebounds per game in the two matches played thus far demonstrate his consistent performance and potential to make a significant impact for Champagne. With his skills and dedication, Kok remains a key player to watch as the team strives for success in the ongoing season.

#4. Turkish champion Yavuz Gultekin, a 26-year-old forward standing at 6'7'' and an alumnus of Toreros from 2023, who currently plays professionally in Turkey, played a crucial role in Pinar Karsiyaka SK Izmir's recent victory over the closely-ranked Galatasaray with a score of 78-71 in the Turkish ING Basketbol Super Ligi last Friday. Despite being placed eighth in the league, Gultekin's team emerged victorious, thanks in part to his stellar performance on the court. In the game, the finalist Gultekin managed to score 7 points, secure 7 rebounds, and provide 1 assist during his 28 minutes of playtime. This season marks Gultekin's first with Pinar Karsiyaka SK Izmir, and he has already showcased his talent and skill. His remarkable contributions in the game against Galatasaray were instrumental in securing the champion title for his team. Currently, Gultekin maintains an average of 6.0 points per game, 6.5 rebounds per game, and 1.5 assists per game in the two games he has participated in so far. His performance highlights his potential to be a key player for his team throughout the season.

#5. In the recent game, Tim Moore Jr., a 6'6'' forward who graduated from San Diego in 2026 and currently plays professionally in Mexico, was unable to lift Correcaminos UAT Victoria to victory against the higher-ranked Lobos. Despite his commendable effort, scoring 12 points and grabbing 1 rebound in just 19 minutes of play, Correcaminos UAT Victoria suffered a 85-90 defeat on the road. This loss marked the team's eighth consecutive defeat, highlighting the challenging season they have been enduring. As the Regular Season nears its conclusion with only two games remaining, each match becomes increasingly crucial for Correcaminos UAT Victoria. Moore Jr., in his first season with the team, has been a consistent performer throughout the season, averaging 8.3 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 1.1 blocks per game in the 12 games he has participated in so far. Despite his individual success, Moore Jr. and his team are striving to turn their fortunes around and finish the season on a positive note.

#6. Belarusian Yauhen Massalski, a 27-year-old forward standing at 6'10'' and an alumnus of Dons from 2022, showcased his skills for Nantes in the French ELITE 2 league. Despite having played in San Diego from 2017 to 2021, Massalski made a significant impact in his first game of the season for Nantes. In a commanding 76-62 victory over Quimper UJAP, he contributed 6 points and 8 rebounds in just 22 minutes of play. His performance against Quimper not only helped secure the win for Nantes but also demonstrated his prowess on the court, solidifying his reputation as a resilient finalist.

#7. Eric Williams Jr., a 6'7'' forward who graduated from San Diego in 2023, showcased his skills in a recent game playing for Konecranes-Salgotarjani KSE in Hungary. Despite recording modest stats of 4 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 blocks in 24 minutes during his debut game for Salgotarjani this season, Williams Jr. made a significant impact. In a thrilling 1-point victory over DEAC U23, he displayed a stellar performance contributing not only on the stat sheet but also with a key assist. His valuable contribution played a crucial role in helping his team secure the win, ultimately leading them to be crowned the champion of the Hungarian Nemzeti Bajnoksag I/B Piros (second division).

#8. Nic Lynch, a 6'11'' center and former Toreros alumnus from the class of 2023, showcased his skills in a recent Romanian Liga Nationala game. Playing professionally in Romania, Lynch played a pivotal role in Ploiesti CSM's triumph over Timisoara with a score of 72-65 last Saturday. In a 24-minute display, he contributed 6 points and secured 7 rebounds, demonstrating his prowess on the court. With an average of 5.0 points per game and 6.5 rebounds per game in the two matches he has participated in this season, Lynch has proven to be a valuable asset for his team. His exceptional performance against Timisoara not only aided in the team's victory but also positioned him as the standout champion of the game. It is worth noting that Lynch is a naturalized American player, adding to his diverse background and skill set on the basketball court.

#9. German Akim-Jamal Jonah, a 27-year-old center standing at 6'11'', graduated from San Diego in 2019. In that same year, he played a pivotal role in helping them secure the German Regionalliga (North Group) Champion title. Currently playing professionally in Germany, he recently contributed to SBB Baskets Wolmirstedt's triumph over the 12th-ranked 46ers with a score of 73-61 in the German BARMER 2. Basketball Bundesliga ProA, the second division league. Despite only scoring 2 points in 6 minutes during the game, his presence on the court was valuable. Jonah's performance against the Giessen 46ers included scoring 2 points and grabbing 1 rebound, which significantly aided in his team's victory, leading them to be the finalist of that match. In the ongoing season, Jonah has maintained an average of 3.0 points per game and 1.5 rebounds per game in the two games he has participated in so far.
