#1. Experienced champion Natalie Kleemann-Day, a 6'0'' guard/forward who is 36 years old and graduated from Portland in 2012 with an All-WCC First Team award, currently plays professionally in Germany. In a recent game last Saturday, despite her solid performance, Kleemann-Day could not lead Jahn Muenchen (1-1) to victory. The team, currently in seventh place, was defeated 89-79 at home by the higher-ranked Bamberg (#6) in the South group. During the game, Kleemann-Day showcased her skills by scoring 10 points and grabbing 6 rebounds in just 21 minutes of play. It was a valiant effort by the finalist, but unfortunately, the team fell short in securing the win. However, considering it is still early in the season, there is room for improvement and turnaround for Jahn Muenchen. In the matchup against Bamberg, Kleemann-Day had an impressive performance, contributing 10 points, 6 rebounds, and 1 assist. Her consistent display of skill and determination is reflected in her season statistics, boasting averages of 10.5 points per game, 8.0 rebounds per game, 1.5 assists per game, and 2.0 steals per game. It is worth noting that Kleemann-Day is a naturalized Virgin Islander, adding to her unique background in the sport.
