#1. Tre'Shawn Thurman, a 6'7'' forward who graduated from Nevada in 2019, previously played for Omaha from 2013 to 2017. He currently competes professionally in Turkey. Despite his efforts, Thurman and his team, Erokspor (17-13), fell short against the powerhouse Fenerbahce (25-5) in the Turkish ING Basketbol Super Ligi. In a recent match, Thurman put up 6 points in 20 minutes of play as Erokspor suffered a 96-73 defeat to Fenerbahce in a highly anticipated showdown. Notably, Thurman displayed a solid performance against Fenerbahce, contributing 6 points, 2 rebounds, and 1 assist. Although he showcased his skills on the court, Erokspor was unable to overcome their formidable opponents. This marks Thurman's debut season with the team, where he has been averaging 7.9 points per game and 2.5 rebounds per game in the 29 games he has participated in thus far.
#2. Daniel Norl, a 6'2'' shooting guard who is 31 years old and an alumnus of the Mavericks from 2018, is currently playing professionally in Germany. Despite his efforts, he was unable to lead Giessen 46ers (18-16) to victory against Kirchheim Knights (20-14) in the German BARMER 2. Basketball Bundesliga ProA (second division). In this game, Norl scored 7 points in 21 minutes of play. The Giessen 46ers suffered a close 85-89 defeat at home to the higher-ranked Kirchheim Knights, who are currently in the #6 position in the league. Despite it being his first season with the team, Norl showed promise by contributing 7 points and grabbing 3 rebounds in the match against Kirchheim Knights. However, his individual performance was not enough to secure the win for his team. Throughout the season, Norl has been averaging 7.1 points, 2.1 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game in the 40 games he has played so far. It is interesting to note that Norl holds both American and German citizenship, allowing him to play in Germany as a domestic player.
