#1. Estonian basketball player Johanna Teder, a 26-year-old standing at 5'8'' and a graduate of Colorado in 2025, currently playing professionally in Italy, displayed her exceptional talent as she led Limonta Sport Costa Masnaga to a resounding victory over the fourth-ranked Valdarno team in the Italian Serie A2 second division. In a commanding performance, Teder propelled her team to a convincing 95-72 win on Saturday night's game. Teder's remarkable double-double performance included scoring 13 points and distributing 14 assists in just 25 minutes of play. Her versatility and playmaking ability were on full display as she played a pivotal role in her team's success. With this outstanding performance, Teder showcased her skills and leadership on the court, solidifying her reputation as a top-tier player. Limonta Sport Costa Masnaga, currently placed second in Group A with a record of 19-5, benefitted greatly from Teder's contributions throughout the season. Teder's consistent performance is reflected in her season statistics, averaging 11.5 points, 3.0 rebounds, 4.8 assists (ranking third in the league), and 1.6 steals per game in the 30 games she has played so far. Teder's exceptional display of talent and leadership against Valdarno not only secured a crucial victory for her team but also earned her the well-deserved title of champion. Her stellar performance underscores her importance to Limonta Sport Costa Masnaga and solidifies her status as a standout player in the league.
#2. Spanish champion Sara Castro, a 26-year-old shooting guard standing at 5'8'' and a Buffaloes alumna from 2018, currently plays professionally in Spain. Recently, she showcased her skills in a match where her team Ardoi, with a record of 20-10, faced off against Al-Qazeres, who held a record of 14-16, in the Spanish Liga Femenina Challenge (second division). Despite Castro's commendable performance of scoring 8 points, grabbing 3 rebounds, and providing 1 assist in 27 minutes of play, Ardoi suffered a defeat of 58-67 at home against the lower-ranked Al-Qazeres, who was placed at #7 in the league standings. This season marks Castro's debut with the team, and she has been displaying consistent performance throughout, averaging 12.6 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game in the 30 games played so far. Although her individual contributions have been noteworthy, she was unable to lead her team to victory in the game against Al-Qazeres.
#3. Australian Emma Clarke, a 6'1'' forward who is 26 years old and graduated from Colorado in 2020, showcased her skills in the recent game for the Ringwood Hawks. Despite her stellar performance, the 19th-placed Ringwood Hawks (1-9) faced a tough 100-84 defeat on the road against the higher-ranked (#17) United in the South group. Clarke, a standout champion, achieved a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds while also contributing 3 assists, 3 blocks, and 3 steals in just 26 minutes of play. Unfortunately, this loss marked the Ringwood Hawks' fifth consecutive defeat. Clarke's remarkable display against Geelong U, where she scored 16 points, grabbed 10 rebounds, and provided 3 assists, was not enough to secure a victory for her team. Despite her exceptional efforts, the finalist Ringwood Hawks were unable to clinch a win. Throughout the season, Clarke has maintained impressive individual statistics, averaging 16.1 points, 8.0 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 1.1 blocks, and 1.7 steals per game in seven appearances. Her consistent performance highlights her importance as a key player for the team, even in the face of challenging outcomes.
#4. Australian Sara-Rose Smith, a 6'1'' guard and 24-year-old alumna of the Buffaloes from 2025, showcased her talent as she led the Eltham Wildcats to a resounding victory against the 13th-ranked Spectres with a final score of 92-82 in the Australian NBL One North, the second division league, during Sunday night's game. Smith's stellar performance included a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds, along with 3 assists, all achieved in just 27 minutes of play. It is worth noting that this remarkable display came in Smith's debut season in professional basketball. The Eltham Wildcats, currently holding a record of 8-2, stand in second place in the South group standings. Furthermore, in a standout performance against Nunawading S, Smith once again proved her worth by contributing significantly with 14 points, 10 rebounds, and 3 assists. Her exceptional skills and unwavering determination played a pivotal role in securing the victory for her team, thereby earning her the title of champion of the game. This season, Smith has been maintaining an impressive average of 9.2 points per game, 8.9 rebounds per game, 2.7 assists per game, and 1.1 steals per game across 10 games, solidifying her status as a formidable finalist in the league.
#5. New Zealand's Charlotte Whittaker, standing at 6'3'' and a 25-year-old forward who graduated from Colorado in 2024 and currently plays professionally in Australia, recently showcased her skills in a game for the South West Metro Pirates against the Brisbane Spartans in the Australian NBL One North league, which is the second division. Despite her best efforts, the Pirates were unable to overcome the Spartans, who are currently ranked second in the North group. Whittaker's individual performance was noteworthy as she scored 7 points, secured 12 rebounds, and provided 5 assists during her 31 minutes on the court. However, the South West Metro Pirates suffered a significant defeat, with the final score ending at 82-53 in favor of the Brisbane Spartans. The loss marked the fourth consecutive defeat for the South West Metro Pirates in the Regular Season, leaving them in the 13th position in the league standings. Nonetheless, it is still early in the season, and there is room for improvement and turnaround for the team. Despite the team's struggles, Whittaker has been performing well overall this season, averaging 10.8 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 1.8 steals per game across the four games played so far.
