#1. Experienced champion James Nunnally, a 6'7'' small forward who is 35 years old and graduated from UCSB in 2012, where he helped them to win the WCBL Regular Season Champion that year, currently plays professionally in Greece. In his latest game, Nunnally, in his first season with AEK, unfortunately could not prevent his team from suffering a heavy 95-68 defeat at home against Olympiacos, the current leading team in the league. Despite the loss, Nunnally displayed his skill by being the second-highest scorer for AEK, contributing 19 points in just 28 minutes of play. Nunnally showcased an impressive performance against Olympiacos, not only scoring 19 points but also adding 2 rebounds and 1 assist to his stat line. Throughout the season, he has maintained solid statistics, averaging 14.1 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 2.9 assists per game in the 14 games he has played so far. Although the outcome of the latest game was not in his favor, Nunnally continues to be a valuable asset for his team as they strive for success in the league.
#2. Devearl Ramsey, a 29-year-old guard standing at 5'11'' and an alumnus of Gauchos from 2021, currently plays professionally in Bulgaria. In a recent game, he led Lokomotiv Plovdiv to a thrilling 82-77 victory over the closely-ranked Balkan team, with Ramsey being named the MVP of the game. His remarkable performance included scoring an impressive 33 points, along with 5 rebounds and 5 assists, showcasing his skills on the court. Notably, Ramsey went a perfect 7 for 7 at the free-throw line during the game. The matchup between Lokomotiv Plovdiv and Balkan was highly anticipated as both teams are among the top 4 in the league standings. Ramsey's stellar play not only secured the win for his team but also marked their fourth consecutive victory. With Lokomotiv Plovdiv currently holding the fourth spot in the league at 19-11, Ramsey's contributions have been instrumental in their success. Throughout the season, Ramsey has consistently delivered outstanding performances, averaging 16.4 points, 3.5 rebounds, 7.3 assists (leading the league in this category), and 1.3 steals per game in 38 appearances. His exceptional play has not only elevated his team's performance but has also established him as a true champion on the court.
#3. Mali Amadou Sow, a 27-year-old forward standing at 6'9'' who graduated from UCSB in 2022 and was a finalist for the Lou Henson National Player of the Year Award that year, currently plays professionally in France. In a recent game, he played a pivotal role in LDLC ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket's 75-67 victory over Cholet Basket, a closely-ranked opponent with a record of 19-11. Sow contributed significantly by scoring 14 points, grabbing 7 rebounds, and providing 1 assist in just 18 minutes of play. This victory marked LDLC ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket's sixth consecutive win, positioning them fourth in the league with a record of 20-10. Sow's impressive performance against Cholet showcased his impact on the court as he played a key role in securing the win for his team. Throughout the season, Sow has been averaging 8.7 points per game and 3.7 rebounds per game in the three games played so far. His contributions have been instrumental in LDLC ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket's success, and he continues to excel as a key player for the team.
#4. Max Heidegger, a 6'3''-PG and 28-year-old Gauchos alumnus from 2020, currently plays professionally in Spain. Recently, he showcased his talent by leading Longevida San Pablo Burgos to a thrilling victory over Coviran Granada, with a score of 110-105 in the Spanish Liga Endesa. This impressive performance earned him the title of MVP of the game. Heidegger's notable contribution included scoring 22 points and providing 4 assists in just 20 minutes of play. Despite Longevida San Pablo Burgos holding the 13th position in the league with a record of 12-22, Heidegger's stellar performance exemplified his skill and determination. The Regular Season has concluded, culminating in a spectacular win for his team, crowning them as the champion of the game. Throughout the season, Heidegger has maintained solid statistics, averaging 12.4 points, 1.1 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per game in the nine games he has played. It is worth noting that he is a naturalized American, bringing his talent and passion for basketball to the international stage.
#5. Belgian champion Stephan Swenson, a 6'2'' guard who is 23 years old and graduated from UCSB in 2025, is currently playing professionally in Portugal. In a recent game, Swenson unfortunately could not help his team, Sporting (17-5), secure a victory against the lower-ranked (#3) FC Porto. Despite his commendable performance where he scored 13 points and provided 4 assists in 26 minutes of play, Sporting ended up losing 76-86 on the road. Swenson showcased his skills against FC Porto by contributing 13 points and 4 assists, displaying his talent on the court. However, despite his noteworthy efforts, his team was unable to clinch the win. Throughout this season, Swenson has been averaging 9.5 points, 1.8 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per game across 28 games, demonstrating his consistent contribution to the team.
#6. Michael Bryson, a 31-year-old 6'4'' guard and Gauchos alumnus from 2016, currently plays professionally in Venezuela. Recently, he led Marinos to a crucial victory over the league leader Gaiteros with a score of 76-66 in the Venezuelan Superliga Profesional de Baloncesto. In this Friday night's game, Bryson showcased his skills and was named the MVP of the game after scoring an impressive 19 points in just 26 minutes of play. Notably, he was flawless from the free-throw line, going 7-for-7. Additionally, Bryson contributed 1 assist to his team's success against Gaiteros, ultimately helping Marinos secure the victory and emerge as the champion. Throughout the season, Bryson has maintained solid statistics, averaging 13.5 points, 3.4 rebounds, 1.3 assists, and 1.1 steals per game in 11 appearances.
