#1. Taiwo Badmus (6'7''-F-1993, played in 2016-18, plays pro in Iceland) led Valur to a victory over the closely-ranked Grindavik (15-7) 80-73 in the Icelandic Subway League on Wednesday night. He was MVP of the game. Badmus recorded a double-double by scoring 31 points and getting 14 rebounds. He also added 2 blocks in 37 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Valur Reykjavik (11-11) is placed first in the Subway League. It's Badmus' first season with the team. Badmus has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages 19.0ppg, 7.4rpg, 2.3apg and 1.4spg. Badmus has also British nationality.
#2. Yesid Mosquera-Perea (6'6''-G-1996, played in 2016-20, plays in Colombia) could not help Piratas de Bogota (3-11) in their last game. Despite his good performance the bottom-ranked Piratas de Bogota was badly defeated101-84 on the road by the higher-ranked (#5) Corsarios. Mosquera-Perea scored 10 points. The Regular Season already ended. This year Mosquera-Perea averages 8.7ppg and 3.3rpg in 10 games he played so far.
#3. Dimitris Sousa (6'4''-SF-1994, played in 2014-14, currently in Brazil) contributed to an easy victory against the fourth-ranked Sorocabana (3-5) 79-64 in the Brazilian CBB (second division) last Sunday. He scored 10 points, grabbed 6 rebounds and dished 3 assists in 22 minutes. Cruzeiro Esporte Clube Basqueteis placed in Conferencia Josuel. This season Sousa averages 9.6ppg, 2.5rpg and 2.3apg. He has also Brazilian citizenship.
#4. J'Son Brooks (6'7''-F, played in 2022-23, plays pro in Brazil) contributed to an easy victory against the sixth-ranked Blumenau (9-10) 86-71 in the Brazilian CBB (second division) on Friday night. Brooks scored 9 points. Praia Clube (4-2) is placed second in Conferencia Josuel. This year Brooks averages 6.9ppg and 3.4rpg in nine games.
