#1. Spencer Littleson, a 6'4'' guard who graduated from Toledo in 2021 after helping them secure the MAC Regular Season Champion title, is currently playing professionally in Spain. In a recent game, he led Iberolea Palencia to a narrow 70-67 victory over the tenth-ranked Cordoba CB in the Spanish Primera FEB, the second division league. Littleson was named the MVP of the game for his exceptional performance, scoring 22 points, grabbing 6 rebounds, and playing for 29 minutes. Despite it being early in the season, Littleson has already made a significant impact in his first year with the team. His standout performance against Cordoba CB showcased his talent, with his 22 points, 6 rebounds, and 1 assist proving instrumental in securing the win and ultimately helping his team emerge as the champion. Currently, Iberolea Palencia holds the fifth position in the league standings, with Littleson maintaining impressive stats of 13.0 points per game, 3.5 rebounds per game, and 2.0 assists per game in the two games he has played so far.
#2. Filipino AJ Edu, a 6'10'' forward/center who is 26 years old and an alum of the Rockets from 2023, played a pivotal role in helping them clinch the MAC Regular Season Champion title that year. Currently playing professionally in Japan, he recently made a significant contribution to the Gunma Crane Thunders' narrow 72-71 victory over the 13th-ranked Robots (0-6) in the Japanese B.Premier League game on Saturday night. Edu showcased his skills by scoring 9 points and securing 13 rebounds during his 27 minutes on the court. The Gunma Crane Thunders, with a perfect 5-0 record, sit at the top of the Eastern Conference standings, having emerged victorious in all five games of the Regular Season so far. In a recent game against Ibaraki R., Edu's performance was exceptional as he scored 9 points, grabbed 13 rebounds, and provided 1 assist, which significantly contributed to his team's success. His remarkable display on the court further solidified his status as a champion. Throughout this season, Edu has been averaging 6.2 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 2.0 assists per game in the five games played. It is worth noting that he also holds a British passport, adding to his international profile as a standout player.
#3. Nathan Boothe, a 6'10'' power forward who graduated from Toledo in 2016 and received the All-MAC First Team award that year, is currently playing professionally in Japan. In the recent game, Boothe, despite a strong individual performance, was unable to assist the Sendai 89ers (3-3) in securing a victory against the Sapporo team, who currently hold the fourth position in the Eastern Conference. The game ended with a close score of 108-105 in favor of Sapporo. Boothe showcased his skills by scoring 21 points and making 4 assists in 32 minutes of play. This marks Boothe's fifth season with the Sendai 89ers. In a previous match against Hokkaido L, he displayed another impressive performance by contributing 21 points, 3 rebounds, and 4 assists. Despite his consistent efforts on the court, his team did not manage to secure a win in that game. Throughout this season, Boothe has maintained relatively good statistics, averaging 12.5 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 4.0 assists per game over the course of six games. His valuable contributions make him a key player for the Sendai 89ers as they strive to improve their standing in the league.
#4. Kyler Vander Jagt, a 6'4'' guard and 23-year-old Rockets alumnus from 2026 who helped lead them to the final of the MAC Tournament that year, is currently playing professionally in Georgia. In his most recent game for Telavi, despite his notable performance, he was unable to help secure a win as his team suffered a close 81-87 defeat at home to the higher-ranked (#4) Tkibuli Orbi. Vander Jagt showcased his skills by contributing 15 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 assists in 33 minutes of play. This game marked his first appearance for Telavi this season, highlighting his strong debut in the professional basketball scene. Despite his impressive individual performance against Tkibuli Orbi, his team fell short in their bid for victory.
#5. JT Shumate, a 6'7'' forward who graduated from Toledo in 2023 and was a finalist for the Lou Henson National Player of the Year Award that year, currently plays professionally in France. Despite his efforts, Shumate was unable to lead Boulazac Basket Dordogne to victory against SIG Strasbourg in the French Betclic ELITE, as his team suffered a 75-87 defeat on the road. In this particular game, Shumate struggled to make a significant impact, scoring just 3 points in 36 minutes of play. This game may not be remembered as one of his finest performances. Notably, this is Shumate's debut season with Boulazac Basket Dordogne. Even though Shumate only managed to contribute 3 points in the game against Strasbourg, his display of skills reaffirms his status as a champion. Nevertheless, his individual effort was not enough to secure a win for his team. So far this season, Shumate has maintained an average of 4.0 points per game and 2.0 rebounds per game across two matchups.
