Experienced champion Yvonne Anderson, a 5'7'' guard aged 36, who graduated from Texas in 2012 and received the Big 12 All-Academic First Team award that year, currently plays professionally in Turkey. In a recent EuroLeague match on Wednesday night, she played a crucial role in her team's dominant 88-69 victory over the closely-ranked Valencia (0-1). Anderson, in her first game for Fenerbahce this season, showcased her skills by contributing 7 points and making 3 steals in just 22 minutes of play. This highly anticipated game featured two top 4 ranked teams battling it out, with Fenerbahce currently holding the second position in the league standings. Her stellar performance earned her the well-deserved MVP title for the game. Gigantes de Carolina, with Holmes as a key player, currently holds the top spot in the league with a record of 9-2.
