#1. Australian Kayla Salmons, a 6'3'' forward who recently graduated from Buffalo University in 2023 and now plays professionally in Australia, had a challenging game for Sunbury Jets against Venom in the Australian Big V league. Despite her efforts, Salmons and the Sunbury Jets, with a 4-2 record, fell short against the Venom, who had a 5-3 record and emerged victorious with a final score of 75-58 on their home court. In this game, Salmons managed to score 4 points, pull down 5 rebounds, and block 2 shots in 24 minutes of play. Despite her individual contributions, the Sunbury Jets were unable to secure a win against the stronger Venom team. The Regular Season had already concluded, marking the end of this particular chapter for both teams. However, Salmons did have a standout performance in a previous game against Warrandyte V, where she showcased her skills by scoring 4 points, grabbing 5 rebounds, and dishing out 1 assist. Despite her solid showing, her team fell short of victory in that matchup. #2. Cierra Dillard, a 29-year-old guard and former Bulls alumna from 2019, currently plays professionally in Egypt. Recently, she showcased her skills as a standout player for Alexandria Sporting Club in the Egyptian Superleague. In a highly anticipated match against league leaders Al Ahly, Dillard led her team to a convincing 84-67 victory with an impressive stat line of 15 points, 9 assists, and 3 steals in just 32 minutes of play. This game, which featured two of the top 3 ranked teams in group Places 1-8, was crucial for Alexandria Sporting Club, who secured their seventh consecutive win. In a thrilling match against the sixth-ranked Mount Gambier Pioneers, Reid led her team to a resounding 100-74 victory, showcasing her prowess as a true champion. In this game, Reid's exceptional performance earned her the title of MVP, as she recorded an impressive 31 points, along with 4 rebounds, 5 assists, and 4 steals, all within just 30 minutes of play. This remarkable display of talent not only solidified her team's fifth consecutive win but also highlighted her individual contributions to their success. Currently, Sandringham Sabres sit comfortably at the top of the South group with a record of 7-1, thanks in part to Reid's stellar play throughout the season. Her average stats of 20.5 points per game, 4.3 rebounds, 5.5 assists, and 1.7 steals per game over six games further underscore her impact on the team's performance. Stephanie Reid's remarkable skills and leadership qualities make her a standout player in the league, positioning her as a key player in Sandringham Sabres' quest for success. Australian champion Courtney Wilkins, a 30-year-old forward standing at 6'1" and a proud Bulls alumna from 2019, played a crucial role in the recent victory of the Frankston Blues against the 12th-ranked Spectres with a score of 82-68 in the Australian NBL One North, which is the second division league. Despite recording modest statistics of 4 points and 5 rebounds in 22 minutes of play, Wilkins' impact on the court was undeniable. Frankston Blues, currently placed seventh in the South group, have benefited from Wilkins' talent for seven consecutive seasons.
