Courtesy of Eurobasket LLC Every week we bring you a list of the top former Lions players who continue their career in pro basketball.
#1. Angolan player Teotonio Do, a 6'10'' forward/center who is 32 years old and graduated from UAFS in 2015, was instrumental in helping them become the African Champions Cup Winner that year. Currently playing professionally in Slovakia, Do recently suited up for Handlova but unfortunately could not lead them to victory in their last game. Despite his commendable performance of 11 points and 4 rebounds in just 18 minutes of play, Handlova suffered a 75-89 defeat on the road against the higher-ranked (#9) Komarno. Handlova has faced a tough start to the Regular Season, losing all three games thus far. However, it's worth noting that the season is still in its early stages, and there is ample opportunity for improvement. This marks Do's first year with the team, and he has already shown promise with his impressive contribution of 11 points and 4 rebounds against Komarno. In the three games he has played this season, Do has maintained relatively good statistics, averaging 12.0 points per game and 3.7 rebounds per game. Despite the challenging start for Handlova, Do's performance on the court indicates his potential to make a significant impact as the season progresses.
#2. Christian Moore, a 23-year-old point guard standing at 5'11'' and an alumnus of the Lions from 2026, currently plays professionally in Georgia. Recently, Moore made his debut for Iverioni in the Georgian Superleague against Margveti. Despite his solid performance, where he scored 7 points, secured 2 rebounds, and provided 1 assist in 24 minutes of gameplay, his team, Iverioni, was unable to secure a victory. The final score saw Margveti emerge victorious with a score of 91-84, leaving Iverioni with a tough loss at home against the higher-ranked team (#3). Moore's efforts on the court showcased his skills, but ultimately, he couldn't carry his team to a win in this matchup.
#3. Austrian Lukas Reichle, a 6'4'' guard at 25 years old, graduated from UAFS in 2023 and currently plays professionally in Austria. In a recent match, he and his team, BK Karbon-X Dukes Klosterneuburg, faced off against the Gmunden Swans in the Austrian Win2Day Basketball Superliga. Despite Reichle's efforts, his team, with a 1-2 record, was unable to overcome the undefeated Gmunden Swans (2-0), ultimately losing 75-80 on the road. Reichle, a key player for the Dukes in his fourth season with the team, had a challenging game against the Swans. He managed to contribute 2 points, 1 rebound, and 2 assists in 25 minutes of play. Although he gave his best effort, Sunday's game was not one of his standout performances, as he struggled to make a significant impact on the scoreboard. Despite the loss, Reichle has been averaging 4.3 points per game and 1.7 rebounds per game this season over the three games he has played so far. While the outcome against the Swans was disappointing for Reichle and his team, he continues to be a valued member of the BK Karbon-X Dukes Klosterneuburg roster, aiming to bounce back in the upcoming matches.
