#1. Experienced champion Patrick Miller, a 6'1'' guard who is 34 years old and a graduate of Tennessee State in 2014 where he received the All-OVC First Team award, currently plays professionally in Russia. He played a pivotal role in Lokomotiv's recent 81-66 victory over Enisey, the ninth-ranked team in the VTB United League. In his first game of the season for Lokomotiv, Miller showcased his skills with an impressive double-double performance, scoring 17 points and making 11 assists in just 28 minutes on the court. Despite this early success, it's important to note that the season is still in its early stages and anything can happen in the league standings. Miller's contributions were instrumental in securing the win for his team, who currently holds the second position in the league. His remarkable performance against Enisey not only demonstrated his capabilities as a finalist but also highlighted his expertise as a seasoned player.
#2. Travis Harper II, a 24-year-old guard standing at 6'6'' and an alumnus of the Tigers from 2026, made a significant impact during his time with them when they were crowned OVC Regular Season Co-Champion. Currently playing professionally in the Czech Republic, Harper II now suits up for Slavia, where his skills continue to shine. In a recent game against the tenth-ranked Olomoucko, Harper II led SK Slavia Prague ERA NBK to a convincing 88-62 victory, contributing 12 points in just 21 minutes of play. This win helped his team maintain an impressive 4-0 record in the league, securing them the second position. Despite it being his first season with the team, Harper II's performance on the court has been outstanding. Against Olomoucko, Harper II showcased his talent by scoring 12 points, grabbing 3 rebounds, and providing 1 assist, all of which were crucial in securing the victory. His consistent contributions have solidified his reputation as a true champion. In the four games he has played this season, Harper II has averaged 7.5 points per game and 3.0 rebounds, showcasing his versatility and importance to the team's success.
#3. Christian Brown, a 6'6'' power forward aged 26, who graduated from Tennessee St. in 2024 and received the All-OVC Second Team award that year, is currently showcasing his talent as a professional basketball player in Kuwait. In a recent game in the West Asia Super League, Brown played a crucial role in his team's victory over the closely-ranked Indian Railways with a score of 106-101. He demonstrated his skills by scoring an impressive 35 points, grabbing 8 rebounds, and dishing out 2 assists in 37 minutes of play, a remarkable feat for someone in only their third season of professional basketball. This outstanding performance helped lead his team to victory in a highly anticipated match between two top 4 ranked teams, further solidifying his reputation as a champion. Al Kuwait SC, Brown's team, currently holds the second position in the league with a record of 8-3. The Final Stage of the West Asia Super League has already concluded, with Brown's exceptional contributions throughout the season standing out. He has been averaging an impressive 23.0 points per game, along with 7.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 2.5 steals in the two games he has played so far. Brown's consistent high-level performance on the court marks him as a standout player and a true champion in the league.
#4. Kenny Cooper, a 6'0'' point guard and 28-year-old Tigers alum from 2022 currently playing professionally in Germany, made his debut for SBB Baskets Wolmirstedt in their recent game. Even though he put on a commendable performance by scoring 10 points, grabbing 1 rebound, and dishing out 2 assists in 29 minutes of play, his team, which is at the bottom of the rankings, suffered a heavy defeat on the road against the much higher-ranked (#5) Kirchheim Knights. The final score was 87-58 in favor of Kirchheim. Cooper's efforts were noteworthy, as he emerged as the second-best scorer for SBB Baskets Wolmirstedt in his first game of the season. Despite his individual contribution, the team was unable to secure a victory against the formidable opponent.
