Courtesy of Eurobasket LLC Every week we bring you a list of the top former Blackhawks players who continue their career in pro basketball.
Look at great performance of Jaquan Lightfoot (12 points), Rron Ukaj (0 points), and Davion Bailey (33 points).
#1. Jaquan Lightfoot, a 6'8'' forward who graduated from Southeastern in 2019 and helped them reach the final of NJCAA D1 District XI that year, currently plays professionally in Mexico. In a recent game, he was unable to assist Zonkeys de Tijuana (17-19) to a victory as they lost 92-97 on the road to the leading Astros. Despite his solid performance, Lightfoot's team fell short in the match. He contributed 12 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 blocks in 22 minutes of play. Although Tijuana could not secure the win, Lightfoot showcased his skills by scoring 12 points and grabbing 4 rebounds against the Astros. Despite his individual efforts, the team was unable to secure the victory. Throughout this season, Lightfoot has been averaging 8.8 points per game and 6.6 rebounds per game in the 30 games he has played so far.
#2. Kosovan athlete Rron Ukaj, a towering forward standing at 6'7'' and 25 years old, is a distinguished alum of the Highland Cavaliers from the class of 2024. Prior to that, he showcased his talent at Southeastern during the 2019 and 2020 seasons, where he played a pivotal role in leading his team to the final of the NJCAA D1 Region XI. Ukaj has since transitioned to the professional basketball scene in Kosovo. In a recent game, Ukaj, despite his commendable performance, was unable to lift Bora to victory. Facing off against the formidable second-ranked Bashkimi, Bora suffered a heavy defeat with a final score of 100-76 in Prizren. Ukaj emerged as the second-highest scorer for his team, delivering 15 points and securing 5 rebounds during his 32 minutes on the court. This noteworthy display is particularly impressive considering that Ukaj is only in his second season in professional basketball. Unfortunately, this defeat marked Bora's third consecutive loss in a challenging streak. Throughout the current season, Ukaj has maintained an average of 5.2 points per game and 4.4 rebounds per game across 26 appearances. Despite the setbacks faced by his team, Ukaj's consistent contributions on the court demonstrate his growing prowess as a player in the professional basketball circuit.
#3. Davion Bailey, a talented 6'4'' guard who graduated from UIW in 2026, previously played for Southeastern between 2021 and 2023, helping them secure the NJCAA D1 Region XI Champion title during his time there. Currently, he is showcasing his skills as a professional player in Colombia. Recently, Bailey led his team, Los Paisas, to a remarkable victory over the closely-ranked Cimarrones with a decisive score of 116-89 in the Colombian LBP. In this game, he displayed an exceptional performance, scoring an impressive 33 points, grabbing 6 rebounds, making 4 assists, and stealing the ball 4 times in just 32 minutes of play. It's worth noting that this is only his first season in professional basketball. Bailey's outstanding contributions on the court earned him the title of MVP for the game. His remarkable stats, including averaging 22.0 points per game (leading the league), 5.7 rebounds per game, 2.7 assists per game, and 2.1 steals per game (second best in the league) over 12 games, highlight his exceptional skills and impact on the team. Los Paisas de Medellin, currently holding a record of 9-5, are positioned second in the league standings, with Bailey playing a pivotal role in their success. The victory against the Cimarrones marked his team's fourth consecutive win, showcasing their dominance as the champion. Bailey's impressive performance solidified his status as a standout player and a key factor in his team's success as the champion.
#4. Experienced Dominican Republic's champion Kelvin Pena, a 6'4'' shooting guard who is 45 years old and an alumnus of the Blackhawks from 2004, showcased his skills in the recent game for Centauros but could not lead his team to victory. Despite his stellar performance, Centauros, with a 5-19 record, fell short at home to the higher-ranked (#9) Heroes, losing 79-89. In the match, Pena emerged as the second-best scorer, contributing 19 points along with 4 rebounds and 3 assists while displaying flawless accuracy from the free-throw line, going 7-for-7 in 36 minutes of play. This game marked the end of the Regular Season. Throughout the season, Pena maintained solid statistics, averaging 13.1 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 3.4 assists in 12 games. It is notable that Pena holds both American and Dominican Republic citizenship, enabling him to play in the Dominican Republic league as a domestic player. Despite Pena's commendable efforts and impressive performance against the Heroes, Centauros could not secure the much-needed victory to boost their standing in the league.
