#1. British Samuel Idowu, a 29-year-old 6'8'' center/forward who graduated from St. Peter's in 2019 and currently plays professionally in Japan, showcased his exceptional skills on Saturday night as he led Earthfriends Tokyo Z to a 79-73 victory over the second-ranked Dice in the Japanese B.One League. In a thrilling game that featured two of the top 3 teams in group East, Idowu's stellar performance earned him the MVP title. He delivered a double-double by scoring 21 points, collecting 14 rebounds, and dishing out 2 assists in just 26 minutes of play. This impressive display of talent against Tachikawa not only secured a crucial win for his team but also earned Idowu the Triple-Double Badge from eurobasket.com, further solidifying his reputation as a champion on the court. With an average of 16.0 points, 11.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 1.5 steals per game in the early stages of the season, Idowu is proving to be a formidable force individually as well. As the season progresses, there is no doubt that this talented athlete will continue to shine and make his mark as a finalist in the league.
#2. Latrell Reid, a 6'3'' guard who is 26 years old and an alum of Peacocks from 2024, currently plays professionally in Russia. Recently, he competed for Barnaul in a match against Dynamo Ufa in the Russian Superleague (second division) but unfortunately, his team was defeated 79-92 on the road by the higher-ranked (#3) Dynamo Ufa. Despite the loss, Reid showcased his skills by contributing 7 points and 2 rebounds in just 13 minutes of play, marking his debut game for Barnaul this season. His performance was notable, especially considering he was facing tough competition. However, Barnaul could not secure the victory against Dynamo Ufa in this matchup.
#3. J'Quan Ewing, a 6'9'' forward/center who graduated from St. Peter's in 2026 and currently plays professionally in Azerbaijan, made his debut for NTD in their recent game against Sumqayit. Despite his notable contributions, NTD, the bottom-ranked team, suffered a significant 111-94 defeat at home against the second-ranked Sumqayit. Ewing showcased his skills by achieving a double-double with 12 points and 13 rebounds, along with 6 assists, during his 37 minutes on the court. This impressive performance marked his first game of the season for NTD, as the Regular Season had already concluded. Ewing's remarkable display against Sumqayit resulted in him receiving recognition for his stellar stats of 12 points, 13 rebounds, and 6 assists. Even though his individual performance was exceptional, it was not enough to secure a victory for his team. Eurobasket.com awarded Ewing the prestigious Triple-Double Badge, highlighting his prowess as a champion player on the court.
