Courtesy of Eurobasket LLC Every week we bring you a list of the top former Hawks players who continue their career in pro basketball.
#1. Chima Moneke (6'6''-PF-1995, played in 2013-15, plays pro in Serbia) led his Serbian team Crvena zvezda to a victory over the closely-ranked Ilirija (1-2) 101-87 in the ABA League last Monday. He was MVP of the game. Moneke scored 21 points, had 7 rebounds and dished 5 assists in a mere 19 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. KK Crvena zvezda Meridianbet Beograd (2-1) is placed first in the ABA League. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. Moneke has relatively good stats this year 10.3ppg, 4.7rpg and 2.3apg in three games he played so far.
#2. Marty Hill (6'5''-G-1997, played in 2015-17, plays in Ukraine) was the main contributor in Krivbas' victory against one of league's weakest teams Niko Basket (1-6) 84-69 in the Ukrainian Superleague on Sunday night. He was MVP of the game. Hill recorded 27 points (!!!) and grabbed 8 rebounds. Krivbas Kryvyi Rih (2-5) is placed eighth in the Superleague. It was his team's first victory after five consecutive loses. There are only three games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. It's Hill's first season with the team. He has individually a very good year with high stats. Hill averages 20.2ppg, 8.8rpg, 4.3apg and 3.2spg.
#3. Melkisedek Moreaux (6'6''-F-1996, played in 2016-18, currently in Germany) contributed to an easy victory against one of league's weakest teams Wolmirstedt (1-4) crushing them 91-64 in the German ProA (second division) in Saturday night's game. Moreaux scored 10 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 25 minutes. Tigers Tuebingen (3-2) is placed eighth in the ProA. But the season just started, so everything may happen. This year Moreaux averages 9.5ppg and 3.3rpg in four games.
#4. Ben Tew (6'9''-F-1994, played in 2020-21, plays pro in United Kingdom) contributed to a St. Helens Saints Liverpool's victory against the sixth-ranked Warriors (2-2) 94-83 in the British NBL D1 (third division) last Sunday. He scored 15 points and grabbed 6 rebounds; quite an impressive performance considering it's only Tew's third season in pro basketball. St. Helens Saints Liverpool (3-1) is placed third in Group A. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. But the season is still in its first stage and everything can happen. This season Tew averages 7.5ppg, 5.0rpg and 1.3apg.
