Especially interesting is good performance of Mohamed Diarra (8 points), Jericole Hellems (18 points), and Anthony Barber (21 points).
#1. French Mohamed Diarra, a 25-year-old forward standing at 6'10'' who graduated from NC State in 2024, is currently making waves in the professional basketball scene in France. Recently, he played a pivotal role in Cholet Basket's triumph over the closely-ranked ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket with a final score of 80-75 in the French Betclic ELITE. Diarra showcased his skills by scoring 8 points, securing 11 rebounds, and providing 1 assist during the intense 25-minute game. Cholet Basket, currently holding the fifth position in the league with a record of 19-11, has been on a winning streak, with this game marking their third consecutive victory. Diarra's exceptional performance against ASVEL highlights his prowess on the court and his ability to deliver when it matters most, solidifying his reputation as a true champion. #2. Jericole Hellems, a 6'7'' power forward and Wolfpack alumni from the class of 2022, showcased his skills playing professionally in Mexico. In a recent game, despite his commendable performance, he couldn't lead Toros Laguna to a victory as they were narrowly defeated 88-85 on the road by the higher-ranked (#3) Halcones de Ciudad Obregon. Hellems displayed his scoring prowess by contributing 18 points, making him the second-highest scorer of the game. Additionally, he grabbed 5 rebounds in just 23 minutes of play. Despite his impressive individual performance against Obregon, including 18 points, 5 rebounds, and 1 assist, Toros Laguna fell short of securing the win. Throughout the season, Hellems has maintained solid statistics, averaging 12.0 points per game and 3.8 rebounds per game across 14 matches. His consistent performance on the court has been notable, making him a key player for Toros Laguna, despite the recent loss to Halcones de Ciudad Obregon.
#3. Anthony Barber, a 6'2'' point guard who graduated from NC State in 2016 and received the USBWA All-District III Team award that year, currently plays professionally in France.
