#1. In the latest game, KJ Debrick, a 6'9'' forward who is 24 years old and a recent graduate of NC A&T (Class of 2026), showcased his skills playing professionally in Sweden. Despite his standout performance, the struggling Sloga Uppsala team, currently at 0-3, suffered a heavy 108-77 defeat on the road against the fifth-ranked BC Lulea. Debrick stood out as the top scorer of the game, contributing 22 points and 5 rebounds in just 27 minutes of play. This remarkable display is even more impressive considering that Debrick is in his rookie season in professional basketball. Despite the team's winless start to the Regular Season, it's still early days, and there is room for improvement and turnaround. Even though Sloga Uppsala faced a tough loss against BC Lulea, Debrick's individual performance shone through with his scoring and rebounding contributions. He has been consistent throughout the season, averaging 16.3 points per game and 6.0 rebounds per game in the three matches he has played so far. With Debrick's strong performances, there is hope for Sloga Uppsala to bounce back and improve their standing as the season progresses.
#2. Canadian Kyle Duke-Simpson, a 24-year-old guard standing at 6'2", and a former player for the Patriots in 2026, showcased his exceptional talent in a recent game for Omega-Tauras in Lithuania. Despite previously playing for NC A&T between 2021 and 2025, Duke-Simpson has seamlessly transitioned into the professional basketball scene in Lithuania. In a thrilling match against the 15th-ranked Kedainiai, Duke-Simpson led his team to a resounding 127-89 victory, asserting his dominance as the MVP of the game. His remarkable performance saw him score an incredible 36 points in just 22 minutes of play, a remarkable feat for a player in his debut professional season. This outstanding display of skill contributed significantly to Omega-Tauras Kauno's standing as the finalist in the Lithuanian Nacionaline krepsinio lyga, currently holding a 2-0 record and securing the second spot in the league. Duke-Simpson's stellar year continues as he maintains impressive averages of 27.5 points per game, making him the league's leader in scoring, along with 4.0 rebounds and 3.0 steals per game across two games. His undeniable talent and contributions on the court have undoubtedly solidified his position as a champion player in the making.
