Experienced champion Ahmad Abdullah, a 6'1'' point guard aged 32, who graduated from NC A&T in 2016 and currently plays professionally in the TBL, made a significant contribution to the Raleigh Firebirds' nail-biting 119-118 victory over the Fayetteville Liberty in a crucial game on Saturday night. Despite the Fayetteville Liberty's strong 11-10 record, Abdullah's performance on the court was pivotal in securing the win for his team. Scoring 7 points, grabbing 3 rebounds, and providing 2 assists in 23 minutes of play, Abdullah showcased his skills and leadership, demonstrating why he is a valued member of the Raleigh Firebirds. This victory marked the team's third consecutive win, highlighting their momentum as they head towards the playoffs. The game between the Raleigh Firebirds and the Fayetteville Liberty was highly anticipated, as both teams were among the top 2 ranked teams in the South Atlantic group. With a somewhat modest 14-4 record this season, the Raleigh Firebirds relied on Abdullah's experience and expertise to outperform their opponents. The Regular Season in The Basketball League has already concluded, with Abdullah's team finishing strong. Abdullah's overall performance this season has been impressive, with averages of 7.8 points, 4.0 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 1.1 steals per game in the 16 games he has played so far. His consistent contributions have undoubtedly played a crucial role in leading his team to victory and ultimately being crowned as the champion.
