Courtesy of Eurobasket LLC We bring you last week's top former Bears players who are currently playing in pro basketball.
#1. Keith Palek, a 6'9'' forward who graduated from Missouri St. in 2026 and received the All-C-USA Second Team award, is currently playing professional basketball in Estonia. In a recent game, he led his Estonian team Tartu to a resounding 90-63 victory over the 12th-ranked Bigbank/Kalev in the Optibet Latvian-Estonian Basketball League. Palek's stellar performance earned him the MVP title of the game, as he scored 22 points, grabbed 4 rebounds, and contributed 2 assists in just 25 minutes of play. This remarkable display of talent came in his first game for Tartu this season, showcasing his impressive skills early in his professional basketball career. As a result of his outstanding efforts, Palek played a pivotal role in securing the championship title for his team, solidifying their position as the champions of the league. Despite the early stage of the season, Palek's exceptional performance hints at a promising future for both him and his team as they strive to maintain their position as finalists.
#2. Alize Johnson, a 6'9'' forward and 30-year-old Bears alumni from the class of 2018, currently plays professionally in France. Recently, he made his debut for Paris Basketball in the Euroleague but unfortunately could not lead his team to victory against Panathinaikos. Despite his notable contribution of 6 points and 4 rebounds in just 15 minutes of play, Paris Basketball was defeated 91-72 by the formidable Panathinaikos. Johnson's performance was commendable in his first game of the season, showcasing his skills on the court. However, his efforts were not enough to secure a win for his team against the reigning champion.
#3. Joshua Webster, a 6'3'' guard who is 29 years old and a Missouri St. graduate in 2019, made a name for himself by helping his team win the Great Clips Slam Dunk Championship that year. Currently playing professionally in Mexico, he recently played for Soles de Mexicali (18-5) in the Mexican Liga Nacional de Baloncesto Profesional. Despite his best efforts, Webster and his team were unable to overcome Panteras (15-8) in a close match that ended with a score of 77-76 in favor of Panteras. This game marked Webster's first season with Soles de Mexicali. Webster showcased his skills on the court by contributing 5 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 assists in 24 minutes of gameplay against the Panteras. Although he put up an impressive performance individually, Soles de Mexicali fell short of claiming the victory against the lower-ranked Panteras. Throughout this season, Webster has maintained an average of 7.3 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 4.3 assists per game in the 22 games he has played so far. Despite the recent loss, Webster continues to be a valuable asset to his team as they strive for success in the league.
