Courtesy of Eurobasket LLC We bring you last week's top former Seahawks players who are currently playing in pro basketball.
#1. Kanntrell Burney (5'11''-PG-2001, played in 2019-22, plays pro in Thailand) led Coastal Comets to a 2-point victory over the eighth-ranked Reapers (4-6) 71-69 in the Thailand TGBL (third division) on Saturday night. Burney was MVP of the game. He scored 23 points and grabbed 8 rebounds in 33 minutes; quite an impressive performance considering it's only Burney's second season in pro basketball. Coastal Comets (4-6) are placed sixth in Water Division. It's Burney's first year with the team. He has individually a very good season with high stats. Burney averages 18.0ppg, 5.5rpg, 3.3apg and 2.0spg. He is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas.
#2. Daniel Braster (6'8''-G/F, played in 2021-22, plays in United Kingdom) could not help London Cavaliers (3-3) in their last game. Despite his very good performance the third-placed London Cavaliers (3-3) was badly defeated93-74 on the road by the leading Thunder in the Group 1. Braster had a double-double by scoring 16 points and getting 11 rebounds. He also added 2 blocks; not bad, considering it's only Braster's first season in pro basketball. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. It's Braster's first year with the team. He has very impressive stats this season 19.7ppg, 6.8rpg and 3.0apg in six games he played so far. Worth to mention Braster played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball.
