Courtesy of Sports I.T. Solutions / Eurobasket.comEvery week we bring you a list of the top former Royals players who continue their career in pro basketball.
#1. Patrick Thomas (6'3''-G, played in 2013-15, plays pro in Australia) led West Adelaide Bearcats to a victory over the eighth-ranked South Adelaide Panthers (0-2) crushing them 95-66 in the Australian State League (second division) in Saturday night's game. He was MVP of the game. Thomas scored 22 points, had 7 rebounds and made 2 blocks in 31 minutes; quite an impressive performance considering it's only his second season in pro basketball. West Adelaide Bearcats (3-0) are placed third in Premier League. So far his team won all three games in the Regular Season. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. Thomas has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages 18.3ppg, 6.3rpg and 4.0apg in three games he played so far.
#2. Benjamin Rennie (6'3''-G, played in 2015-17, plays in Australia) is a teammate of previously mentioned Patrick Thomas. But that was another game of his team in Australian State League which we would like to mention. Rennie contributed to a West Adelaide Bearcats' victory against the 11th-ranked Sturt Sabres (0-4) 90-76. He scored 14 points, had 9 rebounds and dished 5 assists; not bad, considering it's only Rennie's first season in pro basketball. West Adelaide Bearcats (3-0) are placed third in Premier League. So far his team won all three games in the Regular Season. This season Rennie averages 7.7ppg, 5.0rpg and 2.7apg.
#3. Juan Coronado (6'8''-F-90, played in 2010-11, currently in Chile), who plays in the Chilean Liga Nacional could not help Puente Alto (8-0) to beat Temuco (20-11). It was not his best game last Saturday. Coronado recorded only 3 points and grabbed 12 rebounds in 26 minutes. The first-placed Puente Alto (8-0) was crushed 82-59 on the road by the leading Temuco in the Conferencia Centro. This year Coronado averages 8.3ppg and 10.0rpg in six games. He has also Croatian nationality.
#4. Nicholas Fassos (6'5''-F, graduated '18, plays pro in Australia) faced previously mentioned Benjamin Rennie in the Australian State League last game. Fassos was not able to help Sturt Sabres in their game against West Adelaide Bearcats (3-0). He scored 5 points. The first-placed Sturt Sabres (4-0) were defeated 90-76 in Woodville by the lower-ranked West Adelaide Bearcats (#3) in the Premier League. But the season just started, so everything may happen. This year Fassos averages 3.0ppg, 2.5rpg and 1.3apg.
