Every week we bring you a list of the top former Dukes players who continue their career in pro basketball.

#1. Noah Freidel, a talented 6'4'' guard who recently graduated from JMU in 2024, has been making waves in the professional basketball scene in Greece. In a recent game, he showcased his skills and leadership by leading his Greek team Peristeri to a thrilling victory against the closely-ranked Bamberg in the Basketball Champions League. Despite it being his first game of the season with Peristeri, Freidel made a significant impact by scoring 13 points, grabbing 8 rebounds, and contributing 1 assist in just 21 minutes of play. This matchup was highly anticipated as it featured two top 4 ranked teams battling it out, with Freidel's team currently holding the second position in the league standings. His stellar performance against Bamberg not only secured the win for Peristeri but also solidified his position as the standout player of the game, ultimately earning him the title of the champion of the match. As Freidel continues to impress in his first year with the team, fans and analysts alike are eager to see more of his standout performances on the court.

#2. Terrence Edwards, a 6'6'' guard/forward who is 24 years old, is a former Cardinals alum from the class of 2025. Before that, he played college basketball at JMU between 2020 and 2024, where he received the prestigious All-Sun Belt Player of the Year award in his final year. Currently, he is playing professionally in Germany. In a recent game, Edwards led Science City Jena to a 79-71 victory over Rasta Vechta, who are currently at the bottom of the league with a 0-4 record. Edwards was the MVP of the game, showcasing his talents by scoring 17 points, grabbing 4 rebounds, and dishing out 2 assists in just 25 minutes of play. This impressive performance is particularly noteworthy as he is only in his second season of professional basketball. Despite Science City Jena's current position of 14th in the league with a 2-2 record, it is still early in the season and there is plenty of opportunity for improvement. Edwards' exceptional season continues as he is averaging 15.8 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 4.3 assists per game. His consistent high-level performance on the court truly demonstrates his capabilities as a champion.

#3. Mezie Offurum, a 6'8'' forward aged 26, graduated from JMU in 2023 and received the CSC NCAA Division I Academic All-District Team award that year. Currently, he is playing professionally in Italy. In a recent game, Offurum was unable to assist Scafati (0-2) as they suffered a defeat at the hands of Openjobmetis Varese, who are ranked much higher at #8. Despite Offurum's commendable performance, contributing 14 points and 2 rebounds in 24 minutes of play, his team fell short and lost 85-77 on their home court. Offurum showcased his skills against Varese, displaying his scoring ability and efficiency by putting up 14 points. Even though he put in a solid effort, his team could not secure the victory. Throughout the season, Offurum has maintained decent statistics, averaging 13.0 points per game and 2.5 rebounds per game. It is worth noting that Offurum is a naturalized Nigerian player, adding diversity to the team he represents.

#4. Matt Lewis, a 6'4'' guard and 27-year-old Dukes alumni from 2021, who received the All-CAA Player of the Year award that year, is currently playing professionally in Germany. Despite his outstanding performance, he could not help Rasta Vechta (0-1) in their recent game last Wednesday. Vechta suffered a crushing 96-64 defeat on the road against the second-ranked Spartak, with Lewis emerging as the top scorer contributing 12 points, along with 5 rebounds and 3 assists in just 23 minutes of play. This season marks Lewis' debut with the team, and he has been maintaining relatively good stats with an average of 12.4 points per game, 3.0 rebounds, and 2.8 assists. In the match against Spartak, Lewis showcased an impressive performance, but unfortunately, his team ended up on the losing side.

#5. Experienced champion Ronald Curry, a 6'4'' guard who is 33 years old and graduated from JMU in 2016 with an All-CAA First Team award, currently plays professionally in Poland. In his debut game for Gornik Zamek Ksiaz Walbrzych this season, Curry showcased his skills by recording 7 points, 4 rebounds, and 4 assists in 22 minutes of play. Despite his commendable performance, Gornik Zamek Ksiaz Walbrzych fell short against Anwil with a score of 88-87 in Wloclawek. This marks Curry's first year with the team, and his efforts as a finalist were notable in the close match against the leading Anwil.
