Best performed former Hampton University players in pro basketball in last week games(10/09/2026)

We bring you last week's top former Pirates players who are currently playing in pro basketball.

#1. Noah Farrakhan, a 6'1'' guard who graduated from Hampton in 2025 and received the All-CAA Third Team award that year, currently plays professionally in North Macedonia. In a recent game, Farrakhan, in his first game of the season for MZT Skopje, displayed an impressive performance against Iraklis, scoring 18 points, grabbing 3 rebounds, and dishing out 2 assists in 27 minutes of play. Despite his standout contribution, MZT Skopje suffered a 59-64 defeat at home to the second-ranked Iraklis. As the season is still in its early stages, there is ample opportunity for Farrakhan and his team to bounce back and strive for success.

#2. Trevond Barnes, a 6'9'' forward/center who is 29 years old and an alum of the Pirates from 2019, currently plays professionally in the United Kingdom. Recently, he made a significant impact for the Newcastle Eagles in their British Super League Basketball match against the Gladiators. Barnes played a crucial role in their dominant 91-67 victory, contributing 5 points, 6 rebounds, and 1 assist in just 18 minutes on the court. Newcastle Eagles, with a record of 2-1, currently holds the second position in the league standings. Barnes displayed his skills once again in another game against Caledonia G., scoring 5 points, grabbing 6 rebounds, and providing 1 assist to help secure another win for his team. His consistent and outstanding performances demonstrate why he is regarded as a true champion. In the three games he has played this season, Barnes has averaged 8.3 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game. His contributions on both ends of the court have been instrumental in his team's success, showcasing his talent and determination as a finalist.

#3. Lysander Bracey, a 30-year-old guard standing at 6'4'' and a graduate of Hampton in 2019, played a pivotal role in helping his college team to reach the CIT Championship Semifinals that year. Currently, he is playing professionally in Spain for Palma Fibwi. In their recent game against the second-ranked Cantabria, despite Bracey's exceptional performance, scoring 26 points in just 25 minutes, Palma Fibwi suffered a 76-88 loss on their home court in S'Arenal. This marks Bracey's debut season with the team, and he has been showcasing his skills effectively. In the game against Cantabria, he not only demonstrated his scoring prowess but also contributed with 2 rebounds and 1 assist. Although Bracey has been performing impressively, averaging 18.0 points per game and 2.0 assists per game in the two matches he has played so far, unfortunately, his efforts have not translated into wins for his team.

#4. Xzavier Long, a 23-year-old center/forward standing at 6'7'' and an alum of the Pirates in 2026, currently plays professionally in Switzerland. In a recent match, Long, a standout champion, showcased his skills for Monthey-Chablais but could not lead them to victory against Pully in the Swiss Basketball League. Despite his impressive performance of scoring 7 points, grabbing 7 rebounds, and adding 1 assist in 36 minutes of play, his team, the finalist Monthey-Chablais, fell short to Pully with a final score of 80-94 on the road. Unfortunately, Monthey-Chablais, currently at the bottom of the standings, has lost all three games in the Regular Season. Long's contributions, including his consistent scoring and rebounding averages of 5.0 points per game and 7.7 rebounds per game in three matches this season, highlight his importance to the team. Although his efforts were commendable against Pully, the champion's individual performance was not enough to secure a victory for his team.
