Courtesy of Eurobasket LLC Every week we bring you a list of the top former Yellow Jackets players who continue their career in pro basketball.
#1. Brianna Turnage, a 6'1'' guard who graduated from Georgia Tech in 2026 and received the ACC All-Most Improved Team award that year, currently plays professionally in the UPSHOT league. Despite her best efforts, Turnage was unable to lift the Jacksonville Waves, one of the league's weakest teams with a 4-2 record, to victory against the Greensboro Groove, who had a 4-3 record in the UpShot league. In the recent game, Turnage had a challenging performance, scoring just 2 points and blocking 2 shots in 7 minutes of play as her team suffered a tough 89-71 loss on the road. Although the outcome was not in their favor, it is important to note that the season is still in its early stages, and there is potential for improvement and turnaround for the Jacksonville Waves. In the game against Greensboro Groove, Turnage showed glimpses of her skills by contributing 2 points and 2 rebounds. However, the overall performance of the team fell short, resulting in a defeat. As of now, Turnage has been averaging 0.5 points per game in the four games she has played this season. Despite the challenges faced by her team, Turnage remains determined to contribute positively and work towards better results in the upcoming matches.
#2. Experienced champion Sydney Wallace, a 5'9'' guard who is 32 years old and an alumna of the Yellow Jackets from 2015, currently plays professionally in Mexico. Unfortunately, she and her team, the Adelitas (12-4), were unable to overcome the Panteras (14-2) in the recent match of the Mexican Liga Nacional de Baloncesto Profesional Femenil (second division). Despite her best efforts, Wallace scored 6 points and provided 2 assists in 31 minutes of play against the leading Panteras. The Adelitas suffered a tough loss, with a final score of 125-88 in favor of the Panteras in Aguascalientes. Throughout the season, Wallace has maintained solid statistics, averaging 13.1 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game in the 17 games she has played so far. Additionally, it is worth noting that she is a naturalized British player, showcasing her versatility and experience on the court.
