Courtesy of Eurobasket LLC Every week we bring you a list of the top former Tigers players who continue their career in pro basketball.
#1. Chris Coffey, a 6'7'' forward who is 29 years old and a graduate of Georgetown, KY in 2020, currently plays professionally in Romania. Recently, he led Valcea to a 97-90 victory over the 13th-ranked Steaua in the Romanian Liga Nationala Baschet de Masculin. In this game, Coffey put up an impressive performance, scoring 15 points, grabbing 5 rebounds, and providing 1 assist in just 22 minutes of play. This marked his first game for Valcea this season, and his impact was instrumental in the team's success. Despite his strong individual performance, Coffey remains focused on the team's overall standing in the league, with Valcea currently placed sixth. As the season is still in its early stages, there is potential for further developments and changes in the team's position. Nevertheless, Coffey's abilities as a champion were evident in his exceptional display on the court, highlighting his skills and value to the team as a true finalist.
#2. Cam Brooks-Harris, a former Tigers alumnus from 2024, has been making waves in the professional basketball scene in Luxembourg. Playing for AB Contern in the Nationale 2 league, he recently showcased his skills in a dominant performance against CFBB. In a resounding 93-75 victory, Brooks-Harris displayed his versatility by recording a double-double with 21 points and 12 rebounds. Moreover, he contributed 7 assists, 3 blocks, and an impressive 7 steals in just 38 minutes of play. This remarkable display of talent is even more noteworthy considering it is only his third season in professional basketball. Currently, AB Contern sits comfortably at the top of the league with a flawless 4-0 record, thanks in large part to Brooks-Harris' contributions on the court. His exceptional performance in the game against CFBB earned him the prestigious Triple-Double Badge from eurobasket.com, further solidifying his reputation as a champion player. Individually, Brooks-Harris is having a standout season, boasting impressive statistics across the board. Averaging 24.3 points per game, 10.8 rebounds per game, and 5.5 assists per game (ranking third in the league), he is also showcasing his defensive prowess with 1.8 blocks per game (ranking third) and an impressive 4.3 steals per game (leading the league). His stellar performance on the court this season underscores his status as a finalist in professional basketball.
#3. Experienced center Marc Montavious, a 36-year-old Georgetown graduate from 2014 who helped them reach the final of the MSC Tournament that year, showcased his skills in his first game for A. Lobos in El Salvador. Despite his strong performance, A. Lobos suffered a tough 77-61 defeat at home against the top-ranked Metapan team. Montavious had an impressive double-double, scoring 14 points, grabbing 10 rebounds, and also contributing 5 assists and 5 blocks in 40 minutes of play. This game marked A.
