#1. Spanish basketball champion Leticia Romero, a guard standing at 5'8'' and 30 years old, is known for her outstanding skills on the court. After graduating from FSU in 2017 and receiving the ACC All-Academic Team award that year, she has been playing professionally in Spain. In a recent game, Romero played a crucial role in Valencia's victory against Ensino with a final score of 85-72. She showcased her talent by scoring 8 points, grabbing 6 rebounds, and contributing 2 assists in just 19 minutes of play. Valencia Basket Club, where Romero has been a key player for seven seasons, currently holds the third position in the league with a record of 21-9. Her consistent performance throughout the season has been remarkable, with an average of 8.5 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 3.9 assists per game in the 27 games she has played so far. Romero's dedication and skill have undoubtedly helped her team achieve success, making her a true champion in the world of basketball.
#2. Morgan Jones, a 6'2'' guard who is 26 years old, is a former Cardinals alumna from 2023. She played college basketball at FSU from 2018 to 2022 and received the WBCA NCAA Division I All-Americans Honorable Mention award during her time there. Currently, she is playing professionally in Mexico and recently led Fuerza Regia to a dominant victory over the sixth-ranked Freseras with a scoreline of 135-59 in the Mexican Liga Nacional de Baloncesto Profesional Feminil, which is the second division of women's professional basketball in Mexico. In the game, Jones showcased her skills by scoring 20 points, grabbing 9 rebounds, and providing 7 assists in just 19 minutes of play. Fuerza Regia Femenil holds the second position in the league with a record of 13-3, and this win marked their third consecutive victory. With only two games remaining in the Regular Season, each upcoming game becomes crucial for Jones and her team. Her exceptional contribution against Freseras not only led to the victory but also highlighted her as a champion on the court. Jones has been maintaining solid statistics throughout the season, averaging 15.0 points, 3.9 rebounds, 2.2 assists, and 1.1 steals per game in the 16 games played so far.
