We bring you last week's top former Lady Pirates players who are currently playing in pro basketball.
#1. Kristen Gaffney (6'1''-F-93, graduated '17, plays pro in Germany) was the major contributor in a Eisvogel USC Freiburg's victory against the closely-ranked TV Saarlouis Royals (4-8) 64-60 in the German DBBL in Friday night's game. She had a double-double by scoring 19 points and getting 13 rebounds. Gaffney also added 3 assists in 36 minutes; quite an impressive performance considering it's only her second season in pro basketball. Eisvogel USC Freiburg (6-6) is placed fifth in the DBBL. Gaffney has individually a very good year with high stats. She averages 18.8ppg, 10.0rpg, 1.9apg and 1.8spg in 12 games she played so far.
#2. Abria Trice (6'1''-G-92, graduated '15, plays in Belgium) could not help Liege (4-3) in their last game on Saturday. Despite her good performance Liege was crushed 84-57 on the road by the leading Castors Braine. Trice was the second best scorer with 13 points. She also added 5 rebounds and 4 blocks. It's Trice's first season with the team. Trice has relatively good stats this year 14.7ppg, 5.7rpg, 1.2apg, 1.3bpg and 1.5spg.
