Courtesy of Eurobasket LLC Here is the weekly review of the top performing Dragons alumni, who are currently playing in pro basketball.
#1. Cole Hargrove, a 22-year-old forward standing at 6'8'' who graduated from Providence in 2026, previously played for Drexel from 2022 to 2025 where he earned the CAA All-Defensive Team award. Currently, he is showcasing his skills playing professionally in Slovenia. In a recent match, Hargrove contributed to Nutrispoint Ilirija Ljubljana's triumph over Triglav, one of the league's struggling teams with a record of 0-2, with a score of 89-79 in the Slovenian Liga OTP banka. Despite only scoring 4 points in 17 minutes of play, his efforts were instrumental in the team's success. Nutrispoint Ilirija Ljubljana, now at a 2-0 record, holds the top spot in the league standings. However, it is important to note that the season is still in its early stages, leaving room for uncertainties. This marks Hargrove's debut season with the team, and his performance against Triglav, where he not only scored 4 points but also secured 3 rebounds, played a significant role in helping his team claim the championship in that match. For the current season, Hargrove maintains an average of 7.5 points per game and 5.0 rebounds per game across the two games he has participated in so far.
#2. Garfield Turner, a 6'6'' forward and Dragons alumni from 2026, showcased his skills playing professionally in Hungary for Szedeak. In his debut game of the season, despite his standout performance, Szedeak (0-1) fell short against the top-ranked Kaposvari, losing 99-98 on the road. Turner displayed his talent by scoring 16 points, securing 7 rebounds, and providing 3 assists in just 27 minutes of play. Even though it was Turner's first season in professional basketball, he demonstrated his capabilities on the court. Despite his impressive individual contribution, Szedeak was unable to clinch the victory against the formidable Kaposvari team.
