Melik Martin, a 6'6'' guard/forward who graduated from Drexel in 2022 and currently plays professionally in Mexico, displayed his prowess on the basketball court by leading Frayles de Guasave to a 100-94 victory over the eighth-ranked Pioneros Los Mochis. In this recent game, Martin showcased his skills by scoring 14 points, securing 3 rebounds, and providing 3 assists in just 27 minutes of play. This stellar performance helped elevate his team to success, solidifying his reputation as a champion player. Frayles de Guasave, currently holding the second spot in the league with a record of 23-17, has benefited greatly from Martin's contributions throughout the season. With an average of 14.4 points, 4.2 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 1.4 steals per game in the 33 games he has participated in so far, Martin has consistently demonstrated his value as a key player for his team. His impressive stats and impactful presence on the court underscore his importance as a finalist player in the Mexican Circuito de Baloncesto de la Costa del Pacifico.
