Courtesy of Eurobasket LLC Every week we bring you a list of the top former Mariners players who continue their career in pro basketball.
#1. Haylen Washington (6'5''-G-1994, played in 2015-18, plays pro in Bolivia) led Univ.Sucre to a 1-point victory over the closely-ranked Calero (4-6) 75-74 in the Bolivian Libobasquet on Tuesday night. Washington was MVP of the game. He recorded a double-double by scoring 28 points and getting 11 rebounds in 38 minutes. Club Universitario de Sucre (5-5) is placed seventh in the Libobasquet. It was his team's first victory after three consecutive loses. They will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And that game will be critical. Washington has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages 20.5ppg, 8.9rpg, 2.1apg and 1.6spg. He is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas.
#2. Jordon Parks (6'3''-G-1999, graduated '2022, plays in the TBL) could not help the Coastal Georgia Buccaneers (11-10) in their last game. Despite his good performance the Coastal Georgia Buccaneers (#5) were edged110-107 on the road by the Fayetteville Stingers. Parks had a double-double by scoring 13 points and getting 10 rebounds. He also added 5 assists. There are only three games left until the end of the TBL Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial. Parks has very impressive stats this year 17.0ppg, 8.1rpg, 4.0apg and 1.2spg in 21 games he played so far.
#3. Torey James (6'6''-G-2000, played in 2022-23, currently in Bolivia) is a teammate of previously mentioned Haylen Washington and both played together in the last Bolivian Libobasquet game. James led Univ.Sucre to a 1-point victory against the closely-ranked Calero (4-6) 75-74. He scored 11 points in 21 minutes. This season James averages 6.3ppg and 2.3rpg.
#4. Tremont Moore (6'3''-G-1998, graduated '2020, plays pro in the TBL) contributed to a Kokomo Bobkats' victory against the Jamestown Jackals (10-9) 109-100 in the TBL on Saturday night. Moore recorded 8 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. The Kokomo Bobkats have a solid 21-7 record this season. His team will play only one more game in the TBL Regular Season.
