#1. Jomaru Brown, a 6'2'' guard aged 26 who graduated from Coastal in 2023 and now plays professionally in Belgium, recently showcased his skills for Brussels Basketball in a game against Oostende. Despite his outstanding performance, where he emerged as the top scorer with 24 points and contributed 6 rebounds in just 29 minutes of play, Brussels suffered a significant defeat of 97-77 on the road against the Oostende team, currently ranked #10 in the league. This game marked Brown's first season with the team, and he displayed an impressive performance against tough competition. His individual season statistics reflect his prowess on the court, with averages of 20.5 points per game, 5.5 rebounds per game, 2.5 assists per game, and 2.5 steals per game - the second-best in the league. Despite Brown's remarkable efforts and strong performance, he was unable to carry Brussels Basketball to victory in this particular game. His talent and contributions on the court are evident, positioning him as a standout player in the league, showcasing skills that make him a formidable champion on the court.
#2. Zac Cuthbertson, a 6'7'' forward and 29-year-old alum of the Chanticleers from 2019, who played a pivotal role in helping them reach the CBI Championship Semifinals that year, is currently showcasing his talents in France as a professional player. Recently, he led ES Chalon-Sur-Saone to a notable victory over the closely-ranked Sluc Nancy with a score of 91-75 in the French Betclic ELITE on a Wednesday night. During the game, Cuthbertson proved his worth by being named the MVP, contributing 13 points and 4 rebounds in just 21 minutes of play. His stellar performance not only highlighted his skills as a champion but also helped his team secure their fourth consecutive win. ES Chalon-Sur-Saone, currently positioned ninth in the league with a record of 16-14, is benefitting from his consistent contributions on the court. With the Play-In phase already concluded, Cuthbertson's impressive season stats speak for themselves, averaging 12.1 points, 3.9 rebounds, 1.2 assists, and 1.4 steals per game. His dedication and talent continue to make him a valuable asset to his team, showcasing why he is truly a champion in his own right.
#3. Antonio Daye Jr., a 6'1'' guard who graduated from Coastal in 2023 and now plays professionally in Israel, showed his skills in the recent game where his team E.Yavne faced off against H.Migdal. Despite his impressive performance as the second best scorer with 15 points, along with 4 rebounds, 5 assists, and 4 steals in 36 minutes, E.Yavne (9-21) was unable to secure a victory and was defeated 92-83 by the leading H.Migdal in the Play-Out group. #4. Vince Cole, a 6'6'' guard/forward and 27-year-old alumnus of Chanticleers from the class of 2022, currently showcases his skills playing professionally in Israel. Despite his remarkable performance, the seventh-placed E.Shomron (15-15) team couldn't clinch a victory in their recent game against the third-ranked I.Nahariya. Cole, a former All-Sun Belt Second Team champion, contributed 12 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists, and 4 steals in 39 minutes of play during the match. Although Vince Cole displayed an impressive showing with his 12 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists against I. Nahariya, his team ultimately fell short in securing the win. #5. Josh Peterson, a 28-year-old point guard standing at 5'11'' who graduated in 2020 and currently plays professionally in the TBL, played a pivotal role in leading DC Heat to a thrilling 109-104 victory over the DMV Soldiers on Sunday night. Despite only scoring 4 points in 13 minutes, his impact on the game was undeniable. This matchup was highly anticipated as it featured two of the top 2 ranked teams in the Mid Atlantic group. The DC Heat, with a somewhat modest 13-5 record this season, managed to secure their fourth consecutive win, showcasing their growing momentum as they head towards the end of the regular season. Peterson's performance against the DMV Soldiers was impressive, with 4 points, 2 rebounds, and 1 assist to his name.
