Courtesy of Eurobasket LLC Here is the weekly review of the top performing Broncos alumni, who are currently playing in pro basketball.
#1. Omotayo Ogundiran (5'11''-PG-1996, played in 2015-19, plays pro in Denmark) was the major contributor in a Bakken Bears' victory against the closely-ranked Anorthosis (1-3) crushing them 100-61 in the FIBA Europe Cup in Wednesday night's game. He had a double-double by scoring 18 points and making 10 passes. Ogundiran also added 5 rebounds in 24 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Bakken Bears Aarhus (2-3) is placed third in the FIBA Europe Cup. His team will play only one more game in the FIBA Europe Cup Regular Season. And that game will be critical. It's Ogundiran's first season with the team. Ogundiran has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages 16.2ppg, 3.0rpg, 6.4apg and 1.8spg in five games he played so far. Ogundiran is a naturalized Nigerian.
#2. William Christmas (6'5''-G-1996, played in 2016-20, plays in Germany) contributed to a 3-point Fraport Skyliners Frankfurt's victory against the tenth-ranked Bamberg (3-3) 80-77 in the German BBL last Saturday. Christmas recorded 9 points and blocked 2 blocks. Fraport Skyliners Frankfurtis placed fourth in the BBL. Christmas has relatively good stats this season 11.7ppg, 5.4rpg, 2.0apg and 1.6spg.
#3. Dwight Ramos (6'4''-G-1998, played in 2018-19, currently in Japan) led Levanga Hokkaido Sapporo to a victory against the 12th-ranked Robots (2-13) 84-78 in the Japanese B1 League on Wednesday night. Ramos recorded 16 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists in 24 minutes. Levanga Hokkaido Sapporo (11-4) is placed third in East group. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. It's Ramos' fourth year with the team. He has relatively good stats this season 11.8ppg, 3.3rpg, 3.0apg and 1.1spg in 15 games.
#4. Chris Koon (6'4''-G, played in 2019-19, plays pro in Philippines) could not help one of league's weakest teams Magnolia Hotshots (4-2) in their last game on Friday. Despite Koon's very good performance Magnolia Hotshots were edged94-92 on the road by the higher-ranked Beermen (#4). He scored 16 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial. It's Koon's first season with the team. Koon has relatively good stats this year 10.5ppg and 2.0rpg.
#5. Justin Young (6'8''-F/C-1998, played in 2016-20, plays in Lithuania) contributed to Kretinga's victory against the closely-ranked Vilkaviskis (6-4) 94-83 in the Lithuanian NKL (second division) last Saturday. He scored 13 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 20 minutes. Kretinga (4-6) is placed 11th in the NKL. But the season just started, so everything may happen. This year Young averages 9.5ppg and 4.0rpg in two games. Worth to mention Young played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball.
