Marinos de Oriente (SPB) strengthened their roster with addition of experienced 39-year old 190cm guard Jesus Centeno for season 2025. It is actually his comeback to Puerto La Cruz as he has played here before. Centeno played last summer at Broncos in Venezuelan SPB league. In 29 games he recorded just 2.2ppg and 1.3rpg. He also spent pre-season at Heroes that year.
He was a member of Venezuelan U21 National Team in 2004.
He is a very experienced player. Centeno has played also professionally in Colombia, Mexico (Angeles and Capitanes), Panama (Caballos), Venezuela (Cocodrilos, Guaiqueries, Gaiteros, Guaros and Gigantes) and Ecuador (Universidad Tecnologica Equinoc. Quito, Importadora, Iccan and Piratas). He won Venezuelan LPB championship title in 2005, 2008, 2010 and 2013.
Among many awards he was voted to Latinbasket.com All-Ecuadorian National League Honorable Mention back in 2017.
