Robby Collum
Defensor Sporting Club Montevideo (LUB) strengthened their roster with addition of 32-year old American guard Robby Collum (185-81, college: W.Michigan). It is actually his comeback to Montevideo as he played here before.
Among other achievements Collum received Latinbasket.com All-Brazilian League Honorable Mention award in 2012.
He has played also professionally in Estonia, Mexico (La Ola, Lobos UAD Mazatlan, Libertadores, Pioneros and Pioneros) and IBA (Battle Creek Knights).
Collum attended Western Michigan University until 2003 and it will be his eleventh (!!!) season in pro basketball.
The scouts decsribe him following way: An extremely smart player that knows what it takes to win and how to run a team. He thinks pass first but does not hesitate to shoot the '3' and does so from way out and extreme accuracy. A tenacious defender, he is like having a coach out on the floor.

Nick Waddell
Waddell number one in Uruguay for round 19 - 3 days ago
NICK WADDELL American Center Nick Waddell (200-C-89) had a great game in the last round for WELCOME, receiving a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 19. The 29-year old player was the main contributor (32 points, eight rebounds and three assists) to his team's victory, helping them to beat Atenas (6-13) 100-91. The game rather meaningless between the teams, which do not have any influence on top of the standings. Welcome is placed at 11th position in Uruguayan LUB. Welc...   [read more]
