Mets de Guaynabo (BSN) agreed terms with 31-year old USA ex-international forward Renaldo Major (201-95kg-82, college: Fresno State, agency: Edge Sports). He just played at Bakersfield Jam (D-League) in the U.S.. In 43 games he had 13.5ppg, 3.4rpg, 1.3apg and 1.3spg this season. Major also spent pre-season at Fuerza Regia (LNBP) in Mexican league that year. In 6 games he recorded 11.7ppg, 3.2rpg and 2.2apg. The last season he was tested by the Clippers in NBA.
The previous (10-11) season Major played at Santa Cruz Warriors (previous name Dakota Warriors) in D-League. In 48 games he recorded very impressive stats: 15.6ppg, 5.5rpg, 1.7apg and 1.3spg.
In 2006 (two years after he left the college) Major was drafted by Dakota Wizards (D-League) in fourth round (44th overall).
He attended Fresno State until 2004 and it will be his ninth season in pro basketball.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as Major's team made it to the D-League Semifinals in 2009 and 2012. He was also voted Gatorade All-D-League Honorable Mention in 2012. Major represented USA at the Panamerican Games in Guadalajara (Mexico) two years ago. His team won Bronze and his stats at that event were 5 games: 4.6ppg, 1.8rpg.
Major is quite experienced player. He has played also professionally in Italy (Cantu), NBA (Golden State Warriors), D-League (Sioux Falls Skyforce), USBL (Dodge City L.) and IBL (Gary S.).
