Aguada adds Holland to their roster

John Holland

Super Santeros de Aguada (BSN) added to their roster experienced 36-year old Puerto Rican-American ex-international small forward John Holland (196cm-93kg-1988, college: Boston) for new 2025 season. He played last season at H.Tel-Aviv in Israeli Winner League. In 22 games he recorded 10.6ppg, 2.6rpg, 1.2apg and 1.6spg. He helped them to make it to the Israeli Premier League final after they ended regular season as second best team. Holland also played 14 games in Eurocup where he averaged 6.8ppg and 2.0rpg. He contributed to his team making it to the quarterfinals.
Holland has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2013.
He also represented Puerto Rico at the FIBA World Cup in Philippines-Japan-Indonesia two years ago. Holland's team won Silver and he had 4 points per game.
Holland is quite experienced player. His career allowed him to visit four different continents, while he played in eleven different countries. He tasted the life as a pro basketball player in Europe, Asia, Latin America and of course North America. Holland has played previously professionally in China (Beijing), France (Chorale de Roanne), Philippines (Beermen), Russia, Serbia (Crvena zvezda), Spain (Real Betis), Turkey (Besiktas and Bursaspor), NBA (Cleveland Cavaliers and Boston Celtics), Puerto Rico (Fajardo) and NBA G League (Austin Spurs and Cleveland Charge).
Among many awards he was voted to Latinbasket.com All-Puerto Rican BSN Honorable Mention back in 2021.
It's very possible he may end his playing career at Aguada.
He graduated from Boston in 2011 and it will be his 14th (!!!) season as a professional player.
