Defending champion Gigantes de Carolina (BSN) agreed terms with 31-year old American power forward Johnny O'Bryant III (207cm-114kg-1993, college: LSU, agency: Slash Sports). O'Bryant played last season at Cyberdyne Ibaraki Robots in Japanese B1 League. In 36 games he had very impressive stats: 15.0ppg, 7.1rpg and 2.0apg.

He comes in to replace Thomas Robinson for their quarterfinals series against Quebradillas.
