U18 COLOMBIA - U18 DOMINICAN REPUBLIC 47-40

Colombia grabbed its first victory at U18 FIBA Americas in Gurabo. They handed 47-40 loss to Dominican Republic for 1-1 record in Group A. However, it is hard to believe that Colombia will be able to reach the Semifinals as they will have to beat powerful USA today. At the other side, Dominican Republic stays winless after two games, but still has a chance to advance. Everything will be clear later today. Maria Tapias (95) led the winners with 23 points and 6 rebounds, and Sara Sosa (95) added 11 pts, 8 boards and 6 assists. Their third scorer was Laura Ramirez (94) with 6 points (7 rebs). In Dominican Republic, Yamel Abreu (95) (12 rebs) and Frabel Feliz (94) (7 rebs) posted 11 points each, while Cheisy Hernandez (94) collected 8 points and 10 boards. Quarters: 12-6, 10-7, 5-14, 20-13. Dominican Republic will have to beat Argentina today with at least with 9-point difference and to hope that USA will beat Colombia.
