JAMAICA - COLOMBIA 26-83

Colombia exploded in the opening day of the Panamerican Games 2011. They destroyed Jamaica with huge 26-83. Both teams compete in Preliminary Group B, together with Brazil and Canada. Tathiana Mosquera (196-C/F-89) led Colombia in scoring with 21 points. Jenifer Munoz (170-G-91) had 13 points, while Ana Mendoza (190-C/F-91) (6 rebs) and Maria Palacios (163-G-85) added 11 pts each. Shereel Brown (191-F-83) had 10 points and 7 rebs in defeat. Their second scorer was Simone Jackson (178-G/F-84, college: SE Missouri St.) with only 5 pts. Quarters: 7-20, 5-14, 12-15, 2-34. Today, Colombia will play against Canada. Jamaica will take on strong Brazil.
